Skinny Tan 7 Day Tanner Review
Hey Lovelies,
I have been fake tanning ever since I stopped using sunbeds about 10 years ago, so I am probably a bit of a fake tan expert now haha! When a few of my colleagues started raving about Skinny Tan at work, I decided to give it a go, and today I thought I'd share my thoughts on this fake tan with you.
People are often surprised how pale I actually am because I've always got fake tan on. I managed to get a photo of you without my tan though so you can get an idea how Skinny Tan 7 Day Tanner develops and also so that you can also see the before and after results of this tanning product.
Skinny Tan 7 Day Tanner Before
First things first, let's talk about the packaging of the Skinny Tan 7 Day Tanner. This product comes in  a plastic squeezy tube and I have to be honest and admit that I am not a massive fan of the packaging. I guess maybe I am more used to using premium fake tan brands, which is why I was a bit disappointed.
However what I do love about this product is how easy it is to apply!
Skinny Tan 7 Day Tanner Review
In the above photo you can see what the Skinny Tan 7 Day Tanner looks like. I've not washed the guide colour off my arm in this picture. The product applies really easily and once it's dry you don't get too much product rubbing off on your clothes. I'd actually be happy to apply this tan and go about my day without rinsing the guide colour off. You're advised to leave the guide colour on for a minimum of 5 hours or overnight. When I'm fake tanning I always leave the tan on overnight because I find that that gives me the best results.
I think fake tan has come a long way over the years. Not only will fake tan not leave you looking orange like Donald Trump, but it also smells a lot better than it used to. This tan has an artificial coconut scent that's quite pleasant, but as the tan develops you do get a some of the classic fake tan biscuit smell coming through. It's not too overpowering though so don't worry!
Here you can see the final result of the Skinny Tan 7 Day Tanner. This photo was taken after leaving the product on overnight and showering it off in the morning.
Skinny Tan 7 Day Tanner Review
I think you get a really nice bronzed natural looking tan with the Skinny Tan 7 Day Tanner. However, I did find that the tan takes better to my arms and stomach than it does to neck and chest which were quite difficult to tan. That's probably because the skin in that area is a lot thinner than the skin on the rest of our body. I got around this though by applying 2-3 layers of tan to my neck and chest as opposed to one layer everywhere else.
On my skin this tan lasted about 5 days before I felt I needed to reapply it, and the thing that impressed me the most about this product was how evenly the colour fades! My tan didn't go patchy, it just faded really evenly which made me very happy!
The Skinny Tan 7 Day Tanner is available at Superdrug or online and retails for £19.99. I bought mine online because the company were running a buy one get one free promotion where you also got 2 free tanning mitts, one for the face and one for the body. Personally I don't fake tan my face but I use a darker foundation to match up the colour of my face to the rest of my fake tanned body, but the other tanning mitt has come in very handy!
So that's it for my review on the Skinny Tan 7 Day Tanner. I don't think I've written such an extensive review in a while and I really hope you find this post useful!
Thank you for reading and see you again tomorrow for another post,
