Illamasqua Haul
Hey Lovelies,
I hope you are all having a good week so far! I am off work this week but I'm not actually away or doing anything. Sometimes I think it's quite nice to have time off to just chill out at home and get the things done that you have been putting off for ages.
Anyway, as I don't have much to do today, I thought I'd use it as an opportunity to bring you another little blog post. Today's post (as you can probably tell by the title haha) is an Illamasqua haul. Illamasqua is a brand I hadn't really tried before this year, but they do have some amazing products and here are just some of the bits I picked up while I was on a make up course with them last week.
Illamasqua Precision Brow Gel
I have a confession to make. Filling in my eyebrows is the least favourite part of my make up routine. I don't know if it's because my eyebrows are more like 2 people from different continents who have never met rather than sisters, but I just don't like doing eyebrows. I bought the Illamasqua Precision Brow Gel in order to challenge myself more when filling in my brows. A brow gel is harder to work with than pencil or powder, so I am hoping using this product will improve my eyebrow technique. I picked up the Ilamasqua Precision Brow Gel in the shade Strike, which is a good match for my dark brown brows. It defines my brows nicely but does not leave me looking like I have coloured them in using a Sharpie!
Illamasqua Precision Gel Liner
I needed a new black gel liner and decided to treat myself to the Illamasqua one after hearing many good things about it. This gel liner is water resistant and smudge proof. I've heard that it does not dry out as quick as some gel liners can. While I was on the Illamasqua course we did a black lip using eyeliner pencil and a black lipstick. I loved how surprisingly wearable and elegant black lips actually are. I didn't end up buying up their black lipstick as I didn't feel I would use it enough, however I hope I can recreate the black lip using the Precision Gel Liner! You can also use this product as an eyeshadow which makes it truly versatile and I think everybody needs a black gel liner in their life!
Here's a swatch for you of the Illamasqua Precision Gel Liner in Infinity (top) and the Illamasqua Precision Brow Gel in Strike (bottom). Once these gels have dried, they are smudgeproof and water resistant.
The final product which I picked up is the Pure Pigment in the shade Ore. I'll be honest, there was a whole other bunch of pigments that I also wanted, but as I already have quite an extensive MAC pigment collection, I decided to be good and only get one of the Illamasqua pigments. Ore is a beautiful bronze shade which I will definitely get a lot of wear out of. As with most pigments, you can use this product wet or dry. Lose pigments are always a bit more messy than pressed eyeshadows but the colour pay off from pigments is just amazing which makes having to put up with a little bit of fall out well worth it, especially when the colour is as pretty as Ore!
Well that's it for my little haul today. What are your favourite Illamasqua products?
Thank you so much for reading and until next time,

Collective Cheek Product Haul

Hey Lovelies,
I hope you're all having a great weekend! Sorry for the lack of posts on here, I've been pretty busy lately but as it's Sunday and I've got the day off, I thought I'd treat you all to a little haul today. Beauty hauls are some of my favourite posts to read on blogs as I love being a nosey parker and seeing what products you have all been purchasing! I've actually done quite a bit of make up shopping lately, so you can expect a few more hauls on my blog over the next couple of weeks! Today's post is going to be all about the latest cheek products which I have added to my make up collection.
If you follow me on Instagram you may have noticed that I was at the Illamasqua School Of Make Up Art this week. I completed a make up course there so obviously I had to take advantage of the 30% discount we got for being on the course. I am actually quite proud of myself for sticking to my budget and not going completely cray cray on the old shopping front. If you are a regular reader of my blog you will know that I am a bit of a MAC addict, so obviously I also had to place a MAC order and I've included the cheek product I bought from them in this post too so let's crack on and see what I got!
Illamasqua Hussy Blusher
I already own one Illamasqua blusher, and it's so beautiful, pigmented and soft that I knew I had to buy at least one other colour from the brand. I decided to go with Hussy, which is a bright matte blusher. It is, alongside Lover, one of their best selling blushers so I have very high hopes for this! I would describe Hussy as a pinky coral blush. It is very warm toned so I think it would work really well on yellow toned completions!
MAC Give Me Sun!
MAC Give Me Sun!, RRP £24.00
Does this product not look like a sun in this photo?  MAC Give Me Sun! has been on my MAC wishlist for a very long time but for some reason I never picked it up until recently. I love the new packaging of MAC's Mineralise Skinfinishes. The compact is much sturdier compared to the old packaging and also includes a mirror now. This product can be used as a bronzer on lighter skintones or to set your make up on slightly darker skintones. It's actually not as dark as it looks in the pan and I love using it to warm up my complexion. With winter around the corner now I am pretty sure we are all going to need a bit of Give Me Sun! in our lives!
Illamasqua Heliopolis & Lumos Sculpting Powder Duo
The last cheek product in this haul is the Heliopolis and Lumos Sculpting Powder Duo by Illamasqua. I wasn't planning to pick this up, but after I used it in every look we created in class I knew I would regret not adding it to my make up collection. I find powder duos such as this one super practical because you can not only use them on the skin to contour and highlight but also on the eyes. Like MAC's Give Me Sun!, Illamasqua Heliopolis & Lumos Sculpting Powder Duo also comes in a sturdy compact which includes a mirror. The contour colour is a soft matte brown that's so easy to blend, and the highlight colour is a gorgeous champagne colour with a hint of shimmer.
Well that's it for my little haul today lovelies! I really hope you have enjoyed this post and thank you so much for taking the time to read my beauty ramblings! My next post is going to be another haul, so keep a lookout for that. Have you done any beauty shopping lately? What did you buy? Don't forget to let me know in the comments section below and leave me your link because I always check them out!
Until next time,
