MAC Pigment Haul

Hey Lovelies,
My latest beauty addiction (like I needed one haha!) is MAC pigments, and after having a little play at my local MAC counter I fell in love with Naked,  Copper Sparkle and Blue Brown which I promptly added to my make up collection.
MAC pigments are pure colour powders that are, as the name suggests, insanely pigmented. You can wear them dry or wet and mix them in with other products such as your moisturiser and even your eyelash glue which I recently found out! Each little jar contains 4.5g of product and I am pretty certain it would take you forever and a day to get through an entire MAC pigment. I think that makes them a great value for money product `so without further ado let's take a closer look at the 3 shades I purchased!
This is a very neutral beige coloured pigment that has a subtle pearl running through it. It is a very wearable shade that I think works great as an everyday lid colour. Depending on your skintone, you could even wear this colour as a cheek highlight.
I actually have my eye on MAC's Reflects Gold pigment after seeing many make up artists on YouTube use it. Sadly that particular shade is limited edition and currently unavailable. I am hoping it get repromoted soon but in the meantime I decided to pick up Copper Sparkle which is a very shimmery, almost glittery pigment. This is the perfect colour for creating a dramatic smokey eye and I just cannot get over how beautiful it is!
MAC describe this pigment as a brown with blue/green pearl and it is perhaps the most unusual and gorgeous colour I have seen in quite some time. It's a duo chrome pigment which means the colour looks different depending on lighting, what angle you look at it, how you apply it and even what colour you use underneath it.
Here are some swatches of all 3 pigments I picked up so you can see for yourself how beautiful the colours are!
MAC pigments retail for £17.00 each and are available online or at your nearest MAC counter and I would highly recommend checking them out! Do you own any MAC pigments? Which shades are your favourites?
Thanks for reading guys and I hope you've enjoyed this post! Until next time,

NARS Dual Intensity Blush - Frenzy

NARS Dual Intensity Blush in the shade Frenzy
Hello Lovelies,
Today I am sharing with you my latest make up purchase, which is the NARS Dual Intensity blush in the shade Frenzy. I wasn't actually intending to add another blusher to my make up collection because, umm, well I own far too many blushers already. However as I was strolling past the NARS counter their Dual Intensity Blushes caught my eye, and I simply couldn't resist picking one up. After much dithering (there are simply too many gorgeous shades to chose from!) I decided to treat myself to Frenzy. It is a beautiful duo which combines gold highlight and an orange blush shade.
You can use the NARS Dual Intensity blushes wet or dry. I have found that I get a better colour pay off when I use them wet, so that is what I tend to do. Quite often when I use products wet (or cream blushes) they can separate my foundation and powder, but I am happy to report that I do not have this problem when using my NARS Dual Intensity blush in the shade Frenzy. My favourite way to apply this product is with a stiff and dense synthetic fibre brush.
I simply love the packaging of the NARS Dual Intensity blushes. Yes, they are still packaged in rubbery black plastic that can be a bit of a pain to keep clean, however I am a big fan of the sharper edges that the NARS Dual Intensity blushes have compared to the brands other blushers. The packaging is also magnetised which I find pretty cool!
NARS Dual Intensity Blush in the shade Frenzy
The NARS Dual Intensity blushes are available in 6 stunning combinations of shades (there are 2 colours in each palette, so technically that's 12 different shades), and I am pretty sure there is a palette to suit everyone's taste. I already have my eye on one or 2 more of these beauties, but I really do not need any more make up in my life so I am trying to be good (she says...). These blushes retail for £30.00 each and are available online or at your nearest NARS counter. So if you are on a market for a unique and versatile new blusher that can be used in many different ways, I'd highly recommend checking out the Dual Intensity blushes from NARS.
Have you picked up any of the NARS Dual Intensity blushes? Which ones are your favourites?
Enjoy the rest of your bank holiday weekend and until next time,

MAC Rubenesque Paint Pot

MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot Rubenesque
Hey Lovelies,
I don't know about you, but I love cream eyeshadows. I rarely do my eye make up without applying a cream eyeshadow as a base, and if I had to chose between only being able to use creams or powders for the rest of my life, I would go with cream eyeshadows. Obviously I love powder shadows too, but I find creams tend to last a bit longer on my eyelids and are great to apply when you are in a hurry as they do not require much blending.  You can even use your fingers to apply them so they are great when you are on the go!
MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot Rubenesque
The latest addition to my cream eyeshadow collection is MAC's Pro Longwear paint pot in Rubenesque. I owned this shade a few years ago but for some reason I never repurchased it until now. It is an absolutely stunning colour which MAC describe as a golden peach with gold pearl. I think it's the kind of rose gold shade that would look great on any skin tone and any eye colour. I would like you all to take just a moment to admire the beauty that is MAC Rubenesque haha!
MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot Rubenesque
You get 5g of product and if any of you have owned a MAC paint pot before, you will know that they literally last forever! MAC Rubenesque not only looks great worn on it's own, but you can also use it as a base when creating any kind of gold smokey eye which is what I tend to do.  Once you have applied MAC Rubenesque to your eyelids, it's not going anywhere until you remove it with make up remover at the end of the day.
MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot Rubenesque
MAC Rubenesque isn't perhaps as opaque as some of the brands other paint pots, but I do not find this to be a problem because you can very easily build the colour up until you get your desired intensity. Anything rose gold seems to be on trend at the moment, so I would highly recommend checking out MAC Rubenesque. I am very pleased to have this little beauty back in my make up collection. Well, no blog post would be complete without a little swatch, so here you go! Isn't it stunning?!MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot Rubenesque Swatch
MAC Rubenesque retails for £15.50 and is available online or at your nearest MAC counter. Have you tried any MAC paint pots? Which ones are your favourites? Let me know in the  comments below!
Thank you for reading as always and until next time,

Bobbi Brown Natural Bronzing Powder

Bobbi Brown Natural Bronzing Powder
Hey Lovelies,
I love wearing bronzer! Over the last couple of years however I have rarely stepped out of my bronzer comfort zone and stuck to the iconic Benefit Hoola and NARS Laguna bronzers, both of which are still staples in my make up bag. With summer finally around the corner, I thought it's time to treat myself to a new bronzer. Don't get me wrong, I still absolutely love the aforementioned bronzers, but I decided to branch out and try something different. After browsing various different make up counters and swatching many a bronzer, I decided to pick up the Bobbi Brown bronzing powder in the shade Natural. When I first saw the colour in the pan I wasn't too convinced that I would like it as it looked like quite a cool shade that could appear a bit muddy once applied. How wrong was I! As soon as I popped the Bobbi Brown bronzing powder in the shade Natural onto my cheeks, I was sold! Not only does it look incredibly natural (as the name suggests haha!), but it is also very pigmented and blends effortlessley. What more could you want from a bronzer!
Bobbi Brown Natural Bronzing Powder
This bronzer is completely matte and comes in a sturdy black compact with a decent sized mirror. I actually love all Bobbi Brown packaging and think their products would look elegant and stylish in any make up bag! Bobbi Brown describe the colour of their bronzing powder in the shade Natural as a medium soft tan. The colour has red as well as brown tones in it which may sound a bit scary, however this bronzer looks incredibly natural once applied. What's more, I have found this bronzer to be very long wearing and the colour does not change on my skin throughout the day.
Bobbi Brown Natural Bronzing Powder
I have used my Bobbi Brown bronzing powder to contour, as an all over bronzer and also as a cheek colour. I simply love the versatility of this product and the fact that it warms up my complexion without looking orange! I can use this product when I am fake tanned and also when my fake tan has faded, which leads me to think it would be suitable for various different skintones. That said, Bobbi Brown's bronzing powders are available in 6 different shades so you should quite easily be able to find a shade to suit your exact skintone. All bronzers from this range retail for £28.00. You can buy them online or at your nearest Bobbi Brown counter. I am really glad I picked this up and I think my beloved NARS Laguna and Benefit Hoola bronzer have a bit of friendly competiton now haha! What is your favourite bronzer?

April Favourites

April Favourites
Hey Lovelies,
I hope you are all having a great bank holiday weekend! I worked yesterday and am working again tomorrow, but have today off so I thought I'd write up an April Favourites post for you all to read. I don't usually do favourites posts because I tend to rave about the products I love throughout each month on my blog anyway. However as I was admiring my make up collection the other day it dawned on me that there are a few products which I have been loving that I've not yet talked about on my blog. A couple of these products are new releases, but a few have been out for a while so read on to see what I have been loving throughout the month of April (and what I am certain I will continue to love throughout the rest of the year!).
MAC Strobe Cream
 MAC Strobe Cream, RRP £24.50
This product has been around for quite some time and I recently fell in love with it all over again after replenishing it for the third time. I use this after my moisturiser but before my primer and I feel that it not only gives my skin that coveted 'lit from within glow', but it also helps to blur out some of my imperfections. MAC Strobe cream is packed with vitamins and green tea to help keep your skin hydrated, looking awake and calm. I can really see a difference to the way my make up looks when I use this product. I took it on my recent holiday to Berlin with me and after both of my friends used it, it is now on their beauty wishlist too which is a true testament to how amazing MAC Strobe Cream is!
NARS All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation
It's no secret that I'm a massive fan of the NARS Sheer Glow foundation. So when I heard that they were bringing out a new foundation I was desperate to try it, and after getting a sample from my local NARS counter I loved it so much that I purchased 2 shades of it, one in my fake tan colour (Punjab) and one in my natural skin colour (Deauville). I would say that this foundation has a semi matte finish with medium to full buildable coverage. It contains no SPF but that doesn't really bother me as my daytime moisturiser always has an SPF in it. I took my NARS All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation (isn't the name a mouthful!) on holiday to Berlin with me and after looking through my holiday pictures, I can confirm that it photographs like a dream. In fact, whenever I wear the foundation my friends compliment me on how flawless my skin looks. I am actually starting to get quite a big head about this haha! Another thing I love about this foundation is that it comes with a pump which means no mess and that you can control exactly how much product you are using. Even though the coverage of this foundation is medium to full, it feels completely lightweight on my skin. Well done NARS on bringing out yet another winning foundation!
Benefit Cosmetics Roller Lash Mascara
 Benefit Roller Lash, RRP £19.50
Benefit's iconic They're Real mascara has always been one of my all time favourite mascaras. When I found out the brand was launching another mascara designed to curl your lashes and look more natural than They're Real, I wasn't convinced that I would like it. After all, I love They're Real and the full false lash effect it gives my lashes. However my friend who works on a Benefit counter gave me a small sample of Roller Lash to try out, and I instantly fell in love with it. It lengthens and separates my lashes but doesn't thicken them as much as They're Real does. You can get a lovely doll eyed effect when using Roller Lash. What I tend to do is use both They're Real and Roller Lash together for full on killer lashes!
Tom Ford Brow Sculptor
We all know that defined brows are all the rage at the moment. Usually I use a matte brown eyeshadow or a wax and powder combo to fill in  my eyebrows, but after hearing nothing but good things about the Tom Ford Brow Sculptor, I decided to treat myself to it. That is one decision I do not regret! Whenever I use this product, it gives me super defined yet natural looking brows. What's more, the Tom Ford Brow Sculptor is so easy to use it's literally foolproof. To me this product is a hybrid between an eyebrow pencil and wax. It stays on my brows all day and does not melt off, not even when the sun is out or after a rigorous gym workout haha! The Tom Ford Brow Sculptor is available in 4 very wearable shades that comes in a twist-up pen format. If you like your brows very defined, it even includes an in-built sharpener. I bought my brow sculptor in the shade Espresso which matches my brows perfectly and I am so glad I invested in this little beauty!
Well, that's it for my April Favourites. Enjoy the rest of your bank holiday weekend and don't forget to leave me a little comment telling me which product you've been loving together with your blog link as I always try to check them out!
As always, thank you for reading and until next time,
