Boots Haul
Hey Lovelies,
I hope you've all had a great week! It's just dawned on me that since my return to blogging, I haven't posted any hauls yet. I myself am a bit of a nosey parker and love seeing what other people have bought, so I thought it's about time I treat you all to a little haul. Unfortunately this isn't one of my most exciting hauls, and for once I managed to go into Boots without spending a ridiculous amount of money (not a mean feat bearing in mind all the amazing offers they always have on haha!), but I still hope you enjoy this post!
The first things to go into my basket in Boots were the Nivea Creme Care Shower Cream and the Nivea In-Shower Body Moisturiser. I've tried both of these products before and I loved them so it's no surprise I ended up repurchasing them. The shower cream is very rich and moisturising and my favourite shower cream from the brand. The Nivea In-Shower Body Moisturiser is a product I was introduced to by a friend last year. It's basically a moisturiser you apply to wet skin and rinse of in the shower. I love using this product on the days when I can't be bothered to apply a body butter or moisturiser after my shower.
I also replenished my Soap and Glory Flake Away body scrub. Over the years I have tried various different body scrubs and this particular one is one of my all time favourites. Not only does it smell amazing but it also really exfoliates my skin and gets of all of my fake tan without being harsh on my skin. I use the Soap and Glory Flake Away once a week the night before I apply fake tan. Soap and Glory do a whole range of body scrubs, and if you haven't tried their body scrubs yet, I highly recommend checking them out! All the scrubs do the job and smell lovely. They probably have a scent that suits everyone and what's more their scrubs are all very reasonably priced and quite often on 3 for 2 promotions. I don't know anyone who can resist a good old 3 for 2 offer at Boots haha!
Boots Haul
Next up I picked up the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water and the Garnier Express 2 in 1 Eye Make-Up Remover. These days everyone and their dog has probably tried a micellar water at some point in their life. I think micellar waters are great make up removers and I like the Garnier one because you get 400ml for a very reasonable price. I use this to take my make up off before cleansing. I also used to use it in the morning to cleanse my face. However that completely dried out my skin so now I only use it as a make up remover now. You can also use it on your eyes but I wear some kind of smokey eye pretty much on a daily basis and this isn't strong enough to take off all my eye make up. Hence I also purchased the Garnier Express 2 in 1 Eye Make-Up Remover. This is one of those bi-phase make up removers that you need to shake well before using. It gets most of my eye make up off, but unfortunately not everything. So if you have any recommendations for an amazing eye make up remover please leave them in the comments down below because I am on the lookout for something new and amazing! That said, the Garnier Express 2 in 1 Eye Make-Up Remover is still a decent product that does a good job at gently removing everyday eye make up. It's also very reasonably priced so I really can't grumble haha!
Boots Haul
The last 2 items that went into my basket weren't actually on my shopping list. Well what's a trip to Boots without a couple of impulse buys! I'm actually pretty good with my skincare routine and doing my make up. Hair however, is a different story. I wish I was good at doing hair but to be honest all I can do is straighten it. With my shampoo, conditioner and hair oils I am pretty loyal to brands like Ojon and Bumble and Bumble. However what I do not use as part of my haircare routine are heat protectors. Rookie error I know haha, especially as I use hair straighteners or curling irons on a weekly basis! When I saw these two products whilst browsing the aisles of my local Boots I thought why not give them a go. I am after all trying to grow my hair, so using a heat protection spray is pretty much a must. I really liked the pink packaging and this is what attracted me to the VO5 Nourish My Shine Heat Protector and their Heat Protect Styling Spray. I am loving the VO5 Nourish My Shine Heat Protector because it's a lightweight and non-greasy oil that leaves my usually dry hair feeling lovely, smooth and frizz-free. I found that my hair dries faster when I use it. As the name suggests, Heat Protect Styling Spray helps to protect your hair from the heat as you blow dry it. Personally I prefer the oil to the spray but I think both products are essentially designed to do very similar things so I suppose it's really a matter of preference when deciding which formula to chose!
Well that's it for my little Boots haul. It's now the end of the month and I am pretty sure I am not the only one who's counting down the days until payday!
Have you been to Boots lately and what was on your shopping list?
I hope you've enjoyed this post and thank you for reading!
Until next time,

NARS Tzarine Duo Eyeshadow

Hey Lovelies,
How are you? Hope you're all keeping well! As you may know I took a bit of an extended break from blogging back in May last year. I've only started blogging again over the last couple of weeks and so far I am really enjoying being back! I've even dug out my beloved Canon 600D which is what I use to take my blog photos. I actually ended up finding a whole bunch of pictures I had taken of products for my blog on my camera. However I never got round to writing the posts to go with the pictures, and I figured rather than taking a whole new load of photos for my blog to just use the ones I already had. Makes sense right? Haha!
NARS Tzarine Duo Eyeshadow
Anyway, at some point last year I purchased the NARS Tzarine Duo Eyeshadow. I'm a big fan of the brand, and I own quite a few of their eyeshadows already. I think it must have been after payday that I popped along to my local NARS counter and picked up this lovely eyeshadow duo. Everyone loves a  good make up splurge on payday, right?! (Please say you agree with me haha!!)
All NARS eyeshadows I've tried are extremely pigmented and long wearing. NARS Tzarine is no exception. Their eyeshadows also blend like a dream! Like many NARS products, their eyeshadow duos come in this rubbery black packaging which is pretty difficult to keep clean. Anyone who has ever owned a NARS product will know exactly what I am talking about!
This particular eyeshadow duo consists of a champagne gold colour with gold and silver reflects running through it and a steel blue colour. You know I like my swatches so here are both colours swatched for you to see. Don't they look lovely!
NARS Tzarine Duo Eyeshadow Swatch
Now I am going to be honest, this eyeshadow duo is not one I often reach for. I never really wear blue or grey eyeshadows. In fact, I prefer golds and browns as I find they are more flattering on me. For reference, my skin has yellow undertones and I am usually fake tanned. You could say that this was more of an impulse purchase than anything else. That said, I still think NARS Tzarine is a gorgeous eyeshadow duo, perhaps more suited for people who enjoy wearing steel blue colours. However I don't feel I am able to part with my NARS Tzarine Duo Eyeshadow. Firstly, NARS eyshadow duos retail for £25.00. Secondly, it is too pretty to give away to friends or family (sorry if I know you and you are reading this...). Thirdly, the lighter of the 2 colours makes for a beautiful inner corner and brow highlight. Lastly, I like hoarding make up even if I don't use it because sometimes it's just pretty to look at. OK, some of you may think that that's a bit weird, but if you love make up as much as I do you will understand where I am coming from haha!
Well, that's it for my little review today. I hope you've enjoyed reading this post!
What are your favourite NARS eyeshadows? Do let me know in the comments below as I love being nosey and finding out what everyone else likes!

MAC Liquidlast Liner Point Black

Hey Lovelies,
How are you? Hope you've had a great weekend and that your week is going well so far! First of all let me just start by saying a massive thank you for all the lovely comments I've had on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and here regarding my return to blogging. They really made my day!
I'm actually off work this week, so I am definitely going to get some posts written up in advance as next week I am on training which I am really excited about! For those of you who don't know, I work on a make up counter. As you may be able to imagine training for us is hard work but also immensely fun and exciting!
MAC Liquidlast Liner Point Black
Anyhow, this morning I was wondering what to blog about this week and decided to write up a post on the MAC Liquidlast Liner which I recently purchased in the shade Point Black. I love wearing liquid eyeliner and although when I am applying eyeliner on customers or clients, I prefer using a gel liner in a pot and an angled brush, I always use a liquid liner with a flexible pointed applicator or brush at the end when doing my own liner.
I was in desperate need of a new liquid liner, and after much deliberation I decided to treat myself to the MAC Liquidlast Liner in the colour Point Black. I've been using this liner for a couple of weeks now and I am happy to say that I am really impressed with it! The colour is jet black which is exactly what you want from any black eyeliner (otherwise wouldn't you just go for grey haha!) The product has quite a thick consistency and as such, it isn't runny or watery at all. Now I could probably spend hours describing the product to you but here's a little swatchy swatch instead. As they say, a picture can tell a thousand words and all that haha!

Now this liner is extremely long wearing, and I have found that you will probably need a very good eye make up remover to get it off at the end of the day! I really like the fact that the  MAC Liquidlast Liner is quite small in size because I find that this makes it easier to control and apply the product. The applicator has a flexible wand, which makes it pretty easy to get a precise line that's really close to your lash line. You will probably need a steady hand when applying this product though, otherwise you could end up smudging it whilst applying it. That said, once this product has dried, it's going nowhere! If you are a liquid liner lover like myself I would recommend checking out this little beauty. It retails for £15.50 and what's more, once you've used it up you can put the empty packaging towards your Back to MAC empties! (If you don't know what I am on about, check out my last post!).
What is your favourite eyeliner? Let me know in the comments below!
Thank you for reading and till next time,

MAC Morange Lipstick
Hey Lovelies,
Hope you've all been well! If you were a regular reader of my blog, you may have noticed that it's been a while since I posted anything on Dolled Up London. I'm not going to try and find a fancy excuse for this. The simple truth is that after just over a year of blogging, I got bored and decided to give myself a bit of an extended break. Lately however I have been thinking more and more about returning to my blog as I missed it a little. So after much deliberation, I have decided to come back, albeit with a few minor changes. My blog will now hopefully be a mixture of lifestyle and beauty, and I will try to post once a week. I'm also planning a blog redesign to reflect this change so do keep a lookout for that and let me know if you know of any good but inexpensive blog designers. My blog name however will stay the same as it took me ages to come up with it and I still do really like it!
Anyway, I decided to mark my return to blogging with a Back To MAC post. (I'm back, Back To MAC, get it??).
I know not everyone is familiar with the Back To MAC scheme. For those of you who don't know, it means that once you have 6 MAC empties (excluding empty refill pans and pencil eyeliners I believe), you can return them to MAC and exchange them for a free lipstick. I personally love this scheme and it has helped me justify countless MAC purchases over the years.
So without further ado, here are my most recent 6 MAC empties and my thoughts on them!
Back To MAC
I've been using the MAC brush cleanser for as long as I've been cleaning make up brushes. Not only does this product do what it's designed to do, but you can also use it towards your MAC empties. I have already repurchased this and will probably continue to do so until someone invents self-cleaning make up brushes. (Now wouldn't that be nice...)
Now this particular product has been sitting in my make up collection for much longer than it should so I decided to use it towards my Back to MAC empties. Make up after all has a shelf life and there is no point in clinging onto products for over 5 years (gross I know! *hangs head in shame*), especially if you own as much make up as I do! This is a lovely lipgloss in a very nude wearable colour. It does feel a bit sticky on the lips mind. However that's something which I personally don't really mind because I find that sticky lipglosses can also be longer wearing than non-sticky ones.
This concealer is definitely up there in my list of all time favourite concealers. It's highly pigmented, you can use it under your eyes as well as on blemishes and it is very long wearing. It comes in 16 different shades which is very impressive for a concealer! My only slight niggle about this product is that you have to be very careful with the pump, otherwise you can very easily end up dispensing more of the product than you actually need. That said, I still love this concealer and I will definitely repurchase it!
I'd say Satin Taupe is one of those classic MAC eyeshadows which everyone who loves a MAC eyeshadow (and let's be honest - who doesn't!!) should try. I would describe Satin Taupe as a mushroomy-taupe colour (if that's even a word). It looks beautiful on blue eyes but other eye colours can also carry it off. My eyes are brown and I always loved wearing it blended through my crease. I am pretty sure Satin Taupe will make it's way back into my eyeshadow collection at some point soon!
I love cream eyeshadows and I never apply eyeshadow without using a cream shadow as a base. Bare Study is a lovely champagne colour. Painterly is a skin coloured cream eyeshadow. Unlike Bare Study, Painterly is completely matte. I owned both of these paints for well over a year and neither of them dried out, and just like Satin Taupe I am certain both of these paint pots will make their way back into my make up collection at some point in the near future.
Well, those were my 6 MAC empties, and now for the big reveal... which lipstick did I go for! The weather has been pretty miserable here in the UK lately (ie. freezing cold), so I decided to cheer myself up by going for a bright summery shade: MAC Morange. MAC Morange Lipstick
This lipstick is very pigmented and feels lovely and creamy on the lips. MAC describe this colour as a "Loudmouth Orange", and I agree with them. I think MAC Morange will look amazing in the summer with a tan. However as summer feels like it's still a lifetime away at the moment, I might just slap on some fake tan; a bit of MAC Morange and pretend I am lying on a beach somewhere hot and sunny drinking cocktails. Well, one can but dream haha!
Anyway, I know everyone loves a good swatch, so here you go! As you can see, the colour is pretty orange but it is still very wearable, especially if you like going for a  bold lip, and lately I have been finding that orange makes a nice change to the classic red!

Well, that's all from me for today! I hope you've enjoyed reading this post, and I'd love it if you left me a comment down below letting me know what your favourite MAC lipstick is as I am always on the lookout for new shades I can add to my collection.
Till next time!
