Dr. Andrew Weil for Origins Mega-Bright Dark Circle Minimizer
Hey Lovelies,
Hope you're all well and having a good week! I'm really looking forward to  this weekend because it's not only my weekend off but my lovely friend Claire is visiting from Bristol. Other than the usual shopping and drinking I will be doing a wedding make up trial on her. So as you can probably imagine I'm very excited! I also finished work early today, so I done a bit of shopping (standard) and now I'm home I thought I'd write up a little blog post on an eye cream I've been using since December, and it's the amazing the Dr. Andrew Weil for Origins Mega-Bright Dark Circle Minimizer (a bit of a mouthful I know!)
This is a new eye cream which Origins have released and I was lucky enough to be sent for review.
Let's start with the science behind the Origins Mega-Bright Dark Circle Minimizer. The product contains Molasses and Ume to help remove dark circles that are caused by sun damage, ageing and tiredness. It also has Centella Asiatica in it, which boots collagen and reduces the appearance of dark shadows, as well as Rosa Roxbutghii. I'll be honest I had no idea what Rosa Roxbutghii is, but I found out at my local Origins counter that it's a complex that's rich in Vitamin C and brightens the under eye area.
In a nutshell, this product promises to reduce dark under eye circles and protect your delicate under eye area.
Dr. Andrew Weil for Origins Mega-Bright Dark Circle Minimizer
I have been using the Dr. Andrew Weil for Origins Mega-Bright Dark Circle Minimizer twice a day for the past month, once in the morning and once in the evening. After cleansing I pat barely a pea sized amount under my eyes using my ring finger. The cream absorbs quickly into my skin, feels very lightweight and instantly hydrates my under eye area. The one thing that's impressed me the most about this cream is how well it works! I am happy to report that after using this product for about a month, the bags under my eyes are not as bad as they used to be! I wouldn't say that I no longer have dark under eye circles, and I still need to use concealer, but when I'm not wearing any make up the area under my eyes definitely looks a lot brighter than it used to. This is definitely a product you need to use daily over a period of time to see results, but the results are certainly worth it!
You can purchase the Dr. Andrew Weil for Origins Mega-Bright Dark Circle Minimizer online or at your nearest Origins counter and it retails for £32.00.
Do you use eye cream? Which one is your favourite?

Cleanser Haul!

Hey Lovelies,
Hope you're all well and having a good week so far! Sorry I haven't put up any posts in over a week. Usually I try to blog twice a week but l've been really busy and sometimes there just aren't enough hours in the day to get everything done that you want to. I'm sure everyone who works full time and blogs knows where I'm coming from haha. Anyway, if you read my last post you'll know that I used up quite a few cleansers over the last couple of months. Even though I really enjoyed using all the cleansers I had in my collection, I did not repurchase any of them. I'd been using hot cloth cleansers for over 2 years, and even though I still think they are amazing at cleansing your skin and removing make up, I simply got bored off them. I guess it's the beauty blogger in me that always loves trying new products haha! Well, I decided to invest in some new products I hadn't tried before, so read on to find out which cleansers I've purchased recently as well as my thoughts on them.
Clarins Gentle Foaming Cleanser with Cottonseed, 125ml, RRP £18.00 (LINK)
I love this cleanser so much it even made it into my 2013 Clarins Favourites post! The Clarins Gentle Foaming Cleanser with Cottonseed has been formulated for normal / combination skin. I only need about a pea sized amount of this product to work out a rich lather that not only removes make up and other impurities but also leaves my skin feeling incredibly soft afterwards. This product does an amazing job at removing dirt, make up and oil without drying out my skin or leaving it feeling tight. I'd even go as far as saying that this is probably one of the best cleansers I've ever used. I know at £18.00 it's more on the pricey side as far as cleansers go, but for me it's worth every single penny and if you are looking for a gentle yet effective cleanser I cannot recommend the Clarins Gentle Foaming Cleanser with Cottonseed Gentle Foaming Cleanser enough.
Clarins Pure Melt Cleansing Gel with Marula Oil, 125ml, RRP £19.50 (LINK)
I originally wanted to get the Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm but as it was out of stock, so I ended up purchasing the Clarins Pure Melt Cleansing Gel instead. This is quite an interesting product as it has a gel like texture which turns into an oil when you massage it into your skin and then rinses off as a cleansing milk. I've found removes heavy make up and even stubborn water resistant mascaras with ease. Even though the Clarins Pure Melt Cleansing Gel contains Marula oil and transforms into an oil when you apply it to your face, it isn't greasy and feels really light on my skin.
Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm, 125ml, RRP £21.00 (LINK)
This is a product I've been desperate to try for quite some time after hearing one of my favourite bloggers Tanya Burr rave about it, and as soon as it was in stock at my local Clinique counter I picked one up. A little goes a long way with the Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm and only need a small amount of this product to remove all your make up. As you massage the balm into your skin, it turns into an oily texture which literally melts away dirt and make up. I was slighlty worried that the oily texture of this product would leave my skin feeling greasy, but I was pleasantly surprised. After cleansing with the Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm, my skin feels soft, moisturised and clear. Like all Clinique's products, their Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm is fragrance free. I'm really happy I've tried this product and can totally understand the hype surrounding it. When this pot runs out, I know for sure I will be heading back to Clinique to repurchase it!
Well, that's it for my cleanser haul. I am so happy with all of my purchases and would love to know what you think if you've tried any of these products so let me know in the comments below!

2013 Cleanser Empties

Hey Lovelies,
Hope you're all well and having a great weekend! This weekend is actually my first weekend off since October. I had a lovely long lie in this morning. Yesterday I met up with some friends for lunch and spent the evening watching TV. Today I'm going to write up a few blog posts for you guys as well as go down the gym. This post is actually going to be an empties post. I haven't done an empties post in ages, but as I have quite a large collection of products I've used up, I thought I'd show you all my cleanser empties and let you know what I think of them.
Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser, 200ml, RRP £24.75 (LINK)
Last year I took part in a skincare project organised by Sophia who runs a blog called Tattooed Tea Lady. As part of the project I was sent a few skincare products to review. This included Liz Earl's Hot Cloth Cleanser. I was really excited to receive this product because it's the first hot cloth cleanser I ever used, and it will always hold a special place in my heart. This cleanser is very creamy and thick and works amazingly well at cleansing my skin and removing make up. It contains cocoa butter, chamomile and rosemary. These ingredients are designed to moisturise and soften the skin. You use this product by massaging it onto dry skin and then wiping it off using a damp muslin cloth. It does a great job at removing make up and it's definitley one of those iconic beauty products that everyone should try at least once.
Superdrug Vitamin E Hot Cloth Cleanser, 200ml, RRP £4.00 (LINK)
Superdrug recommend their Vitamin E Hot Cloth Cleanser for people with dry skin. As the name suggests, it contains Vitamin E as well as antioxidants to help protect your skin against environmental damage. It also comes with a machine washable muslin cloth. The texture of this cleanser is very thick and creamy, and it removes heavy make up beautifully. Like all of Superdrug's products, it carries the leaping bunny logo which means that neither the product nor its ingredients have been tested on our furry friends.
Superdrug Brightening Hot Cloth Cleanser, 150ml, RRP £5.99 (LINK)
Just like their Vitamin E Hot Cloth Cleanser, the Superdrug Brightening Hot Cloth Cleanser comes with a muslin cloth. It contains kiwi fruit mulberry fruit extracts to brighten your skin, as well as cocoa butter to moisturise your skin. The texture of this product is very thick and creamy, and it does a great job at removing make up and leaving your skin feeling smooth and soft. I raved about Superdrug hot cloth cleansers quite a lot on my blog last year. They are so affordable and just as good as high end cleansers, so if you haven't already tried them, you really should!
Benefit Foamingly Clean Facial Wash, 127.5g, RRP £17.50 (LINK)
This is a lovely facial wash from Benefit Cosmetics. Now before I started working for Benefit I never knew their skincare was formulated and produced by LVMH, the same company that do Christian Dior's skincare. As soon as I found out, I was sold. Benefit's Foamingly Clean Facial Wash contains amino acids to smooth the skin, as well as plant derivatives which increase the amount of moisture your skin can absorb. You only need about a pea sized amount of this cleanser to work up a rich later. It does an amazing job at removing make up as well as other impurities. If that's not enough, it has a gorgeous cucumber scent which I love!
Melvita Gentle Cleansing Jelly, 200ml, RRP £16.00 (LINK)
Melvita is an organic French skincare brand that I was introduced to in 2013 through blogging. I was kindly sent this cleanser by Melvita for review and I absolutely loved it! Melvita's Gentle Cleansing Jelly feels really light on the skin but it still did an amazing job at cleansing my skin. It contains rose and orange blossom floral water as well as narcissus extract. These ingredients have been formulated to brighten and soften your skin. Even though this cleanser didn't work up a rich lather, it still did a great job at cleansing my skin and would always leave it feeling incredibly soft and moisturised.
Ok, so these are all the cleansers I've used up over the last few months. My next post is going to be a haul, showing you what's replaced these cleansers in my skincare collection, so keep a look out for that. Have you tried any of these cleansers? What are your thoughts on them?
Also a bit of a shameless plug at the end haha, but I am so close to 1k followers on Bloglovin', and if you enjoy reading my posts I'd love it if you followed me on Bloglovin' by clicking here

Benefit Cosmetics Agent Zero Shine Review

Benefit Cosmetics POREfessional Agent Zero Shine
Hey Lovelies,
Hope you're all well! Today's post is going to be a review on Agent Zero Shine, which is a lose setting powder Benefit Cosmetics released on Boxing Day. If you're a regular reader of my blog you'll know that I am a massive fan of Benefit's POREfessional Primer, so I was really excited when I found out that they've added another product to the POREfessional range! Benefit describe Agent Zero Shine as a shine vanishing pro powder. It not only contains lentil seed extract to minimise the appearance of pores and leave skin looking radiant, but also high tech polymer which is known to control oil. You can either use this powder to set your make up or for touch ups during the day. I like using it to touch up my make up and think it's such a handy little gadget to keep in your handbag.
Benefit Cosmetics POREfessional Agent Zero Shine
Benefit packaging is always so cute, and Agent Zero Shine is no exception. The product is really easy to use! Simply twist off the built in brush from the bottom. Then tap some of the powder into the lid and dip your brush into the powder. Tap of any excess before applying the product onto your skin.
The little brush which comes with Agent Zero Shine is perfect if you want to carry the product around in your handbag with you and use it to touch up your make up during the day. I'm not usually a fan of brushes that come with cosmetic products, but I have to say this brush is very dense and soft, making it a pleasure to apply the powder with!
Benefit Cosmetics POREfessional Agent Zero Shine
Many translusent powders I have tried in the past are white which can make my skin look ashy. Benefit's Agent Zero Shine powder appears to have a light beige colour but once you apply it, it goes on completely sheer and doesn't look ashy at all. The powder is very fine and leaves my skin feeling very soft. It instantly takes away any shine and smooths out my skin, visibly reducing the appearance of my pores.
What I also love about this product is that  you can lock the lid so that the product can't spill if you accidentally knock it over. Anyone who's ever spilled lose powder anywhere will know what I'm taking about haha!
Agent Zero Shine retails for £23.50 and is available online or at your nearest Benefit counter. Have you tried it yet? Thanks for reading!

Hi, my name is Sasha and I have a little blog called Ramblings of a Beauty Bird. In my little corner of the internet I ramble about my main hobby - spending far too much money on makeup and skincare. My blog is mostly beauty related so features things like product reviews, NOTDs, wishlists and so on, however I do have the occasional ramble about fashion and life! So if you have a mo, please do pop over and say hello!

Hi! I'm Emily Jane, and I've recently starting blogging about fashion, beauty and lifestyle at La Carmella. I'm 18 years old, currently in the Upper Sixth taking my A Levels and off to Uni in September. I live in the South-West of England in the middle of nowhere, so moving to a city will very different! Other than music, my main interest is fashion, and I've been reading fashion and beauty blogs for a long time so it's exciting to be starting my own blog and connecting with people that share my interests! YouTube videos of my music is the next step (when I'm a bit more confident :P). I'd love it if you'd take a look at my blog.

My 2013 Origins Favourites

Hey Lovelies,
Happy new year! I hope you're all well and having a good start to 2014! My first post of the year is going to be all about my favourite Origins  products of 2013. I love Origins skincare, it's a brand I've really got into in 2013 and I am looking forward to seeing what they have in store for us for 2014! Here are my top 3 Origins products of last year, and ones that are firm favourites in my skincare routine.
Origins Modern Friction Exfoliator
Origins Modern Friction Exfoliator, 125ml, RRP £33.00 (Link)
This has been my favourite exfoliator of 2013! It was recommended to me by the lovely Origins team which I met at an event in October, and I am really glad I got a sample of it in my goodie bag! Unlike many other exfoliators I've tried, the Origins Modern Friction Exfoliator has a thick and creamy texture. Origins advise that you can use this product on damp or dry skin. Personally I prefer using this in the shower when my skin is damp. I love this product because it feels really gentle on my skin. It contains rice starch which gently rids your skin of dead skin cells without being abrasive, as well as Vitamin C and lemon oil to brighten your skin and help protect it from free radicals. I use the Origins Modern Friction Exfoliator once a week. My skin feels so smooth after I use this product. As this scrub gets rid of any dead skin cells, the condition of my skin has noticably improved since I introduced the Origins Modern Friction Exfoliator to my skincare routine. I know this exfoliator is on the pricey side at £33 a tube, but as you really don't need much of this product it will last you a long time! Just be warned, this exfoliator stings like mad if you get it in your eyes.
Origins DrinkUp Intensive Overnight Mask
Origins DrinkUp Intensive Overnight Mask, 100ml, RRP £22.00 (Link) (Full Review)
I started to get more into face masks in 2013, and my favourite has got to be the Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight mask. This product is very popular in the blogger world and and I bought it after it was recommended to me during one of the blogger chats on Twitter. I'm happy to say this face mask really lives up to the blogger hype surrounding it! I try to use the Origins Drink Up Overnight Mask once a week. I apply a thin layer of it to my skin in the evening after cleansing. The product takes about 5 or 10 minutes to sink into my skin. Once it has absorbed into my skin I go to bed. In the morning when I wake up my skin not only feels more moisturised but also looks plumper and smoother! I love the fruity peach scent of the Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask. It contains avocado oil, mango butter and Japanese seaweed to keep your skin hydrated and prevent future moisture loss.
Origins GinZing Moisturiser
Origins GinZing Moisturiser, 50ml, RRP £23.00 (Link) (Full Review)
The Origins GinZing Moisturiser is another blogger favourite that's made it's way into my 2013 Origins Favourites. I was lucky to receive this product when I attended an Origins event in back in October and I have been using it regularly since. This moisturiser contains Panax Ginseng and Coffee Beans to help refresh and hydrate your skin. It's oil free and has an amazing citrus scent to it. The product has a gel like texture which absorbs quickly into my skin. I love how the Origins GinZing Moisturiser keeps me hydrated all day long. I have also noticed that my T-zone is less oily when I use this product.
Well, that's it for my Origins Favourites of 2013. Which Origins products have you been loving in 2013?
I hope you've enjoyed this post and thanks for reading!
