NOTD - Essie Watermelon

Essie Watermelon Nail Polish
Hello Lovelies,
I hope you are all well and that you had a great bank holiday weekend! I know I haven't posted anything on here for ages. I see my blog more as a hobby than anything else, and I was finding that I wasn't enjoying blogging anymore as much as I used to. I have been also pretty busy lately, so I decided to take a small break from my blog. However, I have been missing writing up posts, taking blog pictures and chatting to you guys so I've decided it's time to start blogging again!
I thought I'd ease myself back into blogging with a simple Essie NOTD post. NOTD stands for Nails Of The Day, for those of you reading this and don't know what I'm on about haha!
Essie Watermelon Nail Polish
I love Essie polishes. Priced at £7.99, I find they are pretty affordable. Their colour range is amazing and what I like most about Essie nail polish is that it lasts quite well on my nails. A lot of other brands I've tried chip after 1 day on my nails, even if I am using a base coat and a top coat. However I never find I have this problem with Essie! You can also find Essie on offer quite a lot of the time, and I always treat myself to some new colours when they are on a 3 for 2 offer at Boots.
Essie Watermelon Nail Polish
Essie describe Watermelon as a creamy and refreshing juicy red. I don't however agree with this description at all! I would describe Essie's Watermelon nail polish as a cross between a red and a pink. It's a lovely colour that's perfect for spring and summer and I am pretty pleased I have added it to my nail polish collection! What are your favourite nail colours for this time of year?
I hope you've enjoyed this post and thanks for reading!

Clarins Haul

Clarins Haul
Hey Lovelies,
So payday came on Friday and it wasn't a day too soon. Even though I am going to try not to spend too much money this month, I did definitely need some new skincare. So far my skin type has always been combination. I had an oily T-zone but my skin was normal pretty much everywhere else. Lately however my skin has become very dehydrated. It also feels very tight at times, and that's something I'm not used to. I don't know if it's because I'm getting older, or the products that I have been using,  but something is drying out my skin, so I really needed to invest in some skincare for dry and dehydrated skin. After some research I decided to stick with a skincare brand that has aways worked really well for me, and that is Clarins. Here's are the things I picked up from my local Clarins counter. I am really hoping these products will help sort out my dehydrated skin!
Clarins Cleansing Milk with Alpine Herbs, Normal or Dry Skin
In the mornings I have been relying on Micellar waters to cleanse my skin, which probably isn't very good for my skin, and I wouldn't be surprised if that's what's contributed to my skin becoming so dehydrated. I decided to pick up the Clarins Cleansing Milk for normal to dry skin. This cleanser has a rich and creamy consistency. It feels lovely and cooling when I apply it to my face. After gently patting it into my skin, I soak a cotton pad in toning lotion and use it to gently wipe the cleansing milk off. My skin feels lovely and smooth after cleansing now, and I certainly won't be using Micellar solutions as part of my morning skincare routine anymore.
The next product I picked up is the Clarins HydraQuench Intensive Serum, which has been formulated to restore your skin's natural hydration mechanisms. It comes in a lovely bottle which you shake up before using. I am using this serum in the morning after cleansing but before my moisturiser. It feels very lightweight, absorbs quickly into my skin and isn't greasy at all. I've only been using this product for a few days but so far I really like it, and I am hoping it will help improve the way my dehydrated skin looks and feels in the long term.   Clarins Blue Orchid Face Treatment Oil for Dehydrated Skin
I had a sample of the Clarins Blue Orchid Face Treatment Oil, and after using the product for about a week I decided to purchase the full size. This oil is made up out of 100% pure plant extracts which include rosewood and blue orchid (as the name suggests). It has been formulated to tone and restore radiance to dehydrated skin, which is exactly what I need!
Rosewood, Patchouli and Blue Orchid
Rosewood, Patchouli and Blue Orchid
I'll be honest I was never keen on the idea of using an oil on my face, as I was worried it would be too greasy, but the Clarins Blue Orchid Oil really surprised me. You can either use it on its own as an intensive overnight treatment, or mix it in with your regular nighttime moisturiser. As my skin is very dehydrated, I am going to use the Clarins Blue Orchid Face Treatment Oil by itself every evening for about a month. Hopefully after this time, my skin will have improved and I will be able to use it together with my moisturiser.
Well, that's it for my little Clarins haul. I hope you've enjoyed this post! What are your favourite Clarins products?

A very small haul...

Hey Lovelies,
I hope you're all well! I've got today off work as I'm working this weekend. I've spent the morning racking my brains about what to blog about but just can't think of anything, so I rather than not post anything on here at all I thought I'd share with you a new top and necklace which I recently bought. I know I posted a clothes haul quite recently, but I've had a massive wardrobe clear out this month, so I've been buying quite a lot of new clothes to replace everything I donated to charity. I think every once in a while everyone should clear out their wardrobe. I had clothes in mine that I've not worn in over 3 years, so it was high time I finally got rid of them!
Anyway, I digress. Last week I went into River Island looking for a new statement necklace, but I couldn't find any that I really liked. However I came across this gorgeous silver foil print top that I knew I'd get lots of wear out of. It's a lose-fitting top that looks amazing with black or blue skinny jeans and high heels or Chelsea boots. You can probably even wear it with leggings, and I think it's the perfect addition to my spring/summer wardrobe. The top is quite simple, making it very easy to dress up with some chunky jewellery.
As I couldn't find any necklaces in River Island that took my fancy, I headed down to H&M. Everyone loves a bit of H&M, everything is very affordable yet still great quality, and I picked up this necklace for £7.99. I couldn't find it on the H&M website but I only bought it the other week so it should still be available at your nearest H&M store. I actually think it goes quite nicely with my River Island top haha!
Well that's it for my very small haul. Tomorrow is finally payday which I'm so excited about as I'm completely skint and have been for the past week or so. Better budgeting is definitely needed for April on my part!
I hope you've enjoyed this post, and if you've found any recent gems on the high street let me know in the comments below!

Essie Angora Cardi NOTD

Essie Angora Cardi nail polish
Hey Lovelies,
I hope you're all well and that you've had a great weekend! My weekend off is sadly nearly over. I had a pretty relaxing Sunday and even managed to get myself down the gym. I've also just painted my nails, so I thought I'd take a few pictures and do a little NOTD post for you. The colour I am wearing today is Essie's Angora Cardi. It's a lovely shade which Essie describe as a creamy, deep dusty rose. I'd say is definitely more of a purple shade than anything else, and I always feel that my nails look quite sophisticated when I have it on haha!

I picked this up at Boots the other week while they were running one of their amazing 3 for 2 promotions. I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who can never resist adding to their Essie nail polish collection whenever they are on 3 for 2! Out of all the nail polishes I've tried, Essie ones last the longest on my nails. This is why I tend to stick to Essie when it comes to nail polish.

So here you can see the nail polish on my nails. I hope you like it! As you can see, it's a rather lovely and very wearable purple-brown shade. I can't even begin to explain how difficult it was trying to get a decent picture while balancing my camera in one hand and the nail polish in the other! Next time, I think I'll use my phone if I'm taking a picture of my nails, it's certainly a lot easier than using a bulky camera!
What's your favourite Essie nail colour?

The Furry Friend Tag

Hey Lovelies,
Hope you're all well and having a great weekend! I've finally got a weekend off which I'm so excited about. Unfortunately I'm completely skint though, so I won't be doing any fun stuff (like spending money). Instead I will be going down the gym and blogging, which isn't that bad either I suppose haha!
Yesterday the lovely Shona from FreshBeautyXOX tweeted me and asked me to do the Furry Friend Tag. I love animals and whenever anyone blogs about their pets I always read the post, so as soon as I saw Shona's post I knew I had to do the tag too! Here are all the questions and my answers. Enjoy ☺
1. What is your pets name?
My pet is called Billie.
2. When did you get Billie?
I got Billie when she was 8 weeks old in June 2012.
3. What is something that Billie does that annoys you?
The only thing that Billie does that really annoys me is that she likes to go roaming. If I let her out in the garden, she doesn't just stay in the garden. She likes to go for a wander and I panic a bit when I look out of the window and can't see her. Having said that, she is a really good cat and when I call her, she does return, but I would still prefer it if she didn't roam.
4. What type of breed is Billie?
Billie is a random bred domestic medium hair cat. A lot of people ask if she's a pedigree when they meet her because she looks quite posh, but she really is just a moggie.
5. Has Billie ever had a near death experience?
Thankfully Billie has not had a near death experience. One time however she did get stung by a bee and her paw swelled up massively. I called the vet who advised me to give her half a Piriton tablet which I did and the swelling went down after about 2 days. I felt sorry for her, even though she did look quite funny with her swollen paw!
6. Does Billie know any tricks?
No not really; she's not a dog.
7. Does Billie like to snuggle?
No Billie doesn't like to snuggle and she is certainly no lap cat. She'll come and cuddle up next to me for a stroke in the morning, but that's about as far as it goes and everything always has to be on her terms.
8. Where did you get Billie?
I used to work with a girl whose cat had kittens. My cat Jessie had died the year before, and I had no intentions of getting another cat. Actually I really want a dog. However, I did go around to my colleagues house to look at the kittens. Billie has the exact same white markings (white paws and a white bib) which my cat Jessie had, which is why I decided to adopt Billie.
9. Does Billie get along with other cats?
Yes Billie gets along with other cats. Billie actually gets along with everyone, she's so friendly!
10. Does Billie get along with strangers?
Again, yes. I have yet to meet anyone Billie doesn't like.
11. How much does Billie weigh?
No idea. Less than me that's for sure anyway.
12. Do you ever dress Billie up?
No, I think dressing up pets is stupid. (No offence).
13. Has Billie ever tried to run away?
Last summer she snuk out of the window one night and didn't come back till the next morning. We always keep her indoors at night so she wasn't supposed to do that. When she returned, she was limping and had obviously hurt her paw on her adventure, so we took her to the vet. Luckily it was just a sprain and she hadn't broken anything.
11. How did you come up with Billie's name?
I live with my brother and he chose the name as part of the deal of getting another cat. He says she's named after the Michael Jackson song Billie Jean, so God only know what he'll call his children.
12. How much does Billie mean to you on a scale of 1-10?
10/10.
I hope you've enjoyed reading this post and finding out more about Billie! Thanks again Shona for tagging me, and if you're a pet owner, I'd love it if you did this post too (in particular if you own a staffie...)

Collective Clothes and Shoes Haul

Hey Lovelies,
Hope you're all well and having a good start to the week. Today's post is going to be a clothes haul for you all. I don't think I've done a clothes haul in over a year! Last week however I decided to go through everything in my wardrobe and threw out all the clothes which I haven't worn in years. I think this spring clean was long over due because I ended up getting rid of a large bin bag full of clothes. Obviously I have decided to replace the clothes which I donated to my local charity shop with some new ones, so I went shopping and here's what I bought.
The first shop I went to was Topshop because they have a petites section and I always seem to find dresses I like in there. I picked up this cute little daisy print dress which I think is perfect for spring! I am planning to wear this dress with black pumps and a black cardigan until the weather warms up a little more.
I also picked up 2 jumpers from Warehouse. Out of all the shops I went to on my shopping trip, I actually thought Warehouse had the nicest selection of clothes! This grey top wasn't available in my size so I got a size 10, which I think still looks ok as it's supposed to be an oversized top anyway. I think this top is quite versatile as it can be worn with leggings and Uggs for a casual look, or it can be dressed up with skinny jeans, heels and some statement jewellery.
The other top I got from Warehouse is this jumper which I really like because it looks great with jeans and it isn't too woolly or warm, making it perfect for this time of year! I will be wearing this top with jeans, but it could also be easily teamed with black trousers and heels for a smart/casual office look.
Finally I went shoe shopping. Last week Aldo had £20.00 off all their boots. Naturally I took advantage of this and treated myself to this pair of flat ankle boots. These shoes are so comfortable! Originally I wanted to get a new pair of Uggs as my old Uggs have seen better days, but with the weather finally getting a little warmer I thought this pair of boots from Aldo would be a better option. Uggs are still on my shopping list though haha as I definitely need a new pair!
I also invested in a new pair of pumps which I got from Clarks. Clarks shoes are so comfortable and these pumps are no exception. What I like about Clarks shoes is that they also do half sizes. I know I will be getting a lot of wear out of these pumps this spring and summer!
Well, these are all the bits I bought over the last week or so. As you can probably imagine I am quite skint right now, so roll on payday when I will be buying more clothes because there's quite a lot of stuff I need to replace in my wardrobe after my massive clearout. Any excuse haha!
Have you bought clothes or shoes lately? What did you get?

 #MakeoverTheWorld RSPCA Campaign
Hey Lovelies,
Hope you're all well and that you've had a great week! I'm sorry it's been a bit quiet on my blog, but I have been pretty busy with work so I have not had time to post much lately. I am also working this weekend, but I have just found out about an amazing and fun campaign the RSPCA are running that I really want to share with you lovelies!
I know lots of beauty bloggers are also animal lovers like me. The 11th of March is the one year anniversary of the ban on sales of cosmetics newly tested on animals in the EU. The RSPCA are now pushing cosmetic companies to end the practise around the world with their 'Makeover the World' campaign.
Supporters (and beauty bloggers like you and me!) of this campaign are encouraged to give themselves a fun makeover and share it on social media (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook etc) using the #makeovertheworld hashtag, This is to show cosmetic companies that we want the practise of testing beauty products on animals to end. You can also make your own sign to go with the campaign message 'Stop Animal Testing for Cosmetics Worldwide'. If you pictures include any cosmetic products, please make sure that the make up brand is hidden. Remember to use the #MakeoverTheWorld hashtag when posting your pictures so the RSPCA can find and share them as part of the campaign.
For more information on the campaign, please click here
The #MakeoverTheWorld campaign launches on the 11th of March, and I really hope as many of us as possible will join in with this campaign. Don't forget to leave me your link in the comments if you're taking part! Thanks for reading and I look forward to seeing your #MakeoverTheWorld looks. Hopefully together we can make a difference and end animal testing for cosmetics products worldwide.

What's In My Handbag?

Louis Vuitton Speedy 250 Hey Lovelies,
Hope you're all having a nice day. Last week I had the week of work and went to Westfield in White City for a very exciting handbag purchase. I've always loved Louis Vuitton and have had my eye on one of their Speedy bags for quite some time now. Seeing as we don't have to pay council tax in February and March, I have a bit of spare cash at the moment and decided it's finally time to treat myself to the bag I've been lusting after for many months. All I can say is I couldn't be happier with the latest addition to my handbag collection!
The LV Speedy bags come in different sizes and styles. I'm 5'1 so the Speedy Bandouliere 25 is the perfect size for me. It fits everything I carry around with me really well without looking too big on my rather petite frame haha. The bag also comes with an adjustable strap so you can wear it over your shoulder or across your body. It's available in 3 diffrent canvases, I chose the Damier Ebene canvas which is the original LV canvas.
What's In Your Handbag
I try not to carry around too much junk with me. I live in England so an umbrella is pretty much an essential item in anyone's handbag. Hopefully I will be able to replace the umbrella with my sunglasses when summer finally arrives! Obviously i never leave my house without my house keys or my phone which is the iPhone 5C in white for anyone that's interested. I also keep my headphones in my handbag so I can drown out the rest of the world while I'm on the train/tube/bus. Living in London means I use my Oyster card to get about. I've also got my wallet with me at all times, which is also from Louis Vuitton. Can you tell I love the brand haha!
The final item in my handbag is my Vicky's Secrets make up bag that I got from one of my friends as a birthday present a few years ago.
In my make up bag I keep hand cream and hand sanitiser. Both are from Bath and Body Works. I also carry around with me 2 lipglosses, 5 lipsticks, a Victoria's Secret body spray, some Lucas Paw Paw Ointment (which is basically Australia's version of Vaseline), a make up brush, a mirror and  a pressed powder.
So as you can see, the Louis Vuitton Speedy Bandouliere 25 fits quite a lot and I am so pleased with my purchase.
What's in your handbag?

Smashbox Be Legendary Mandarin Lipstick

Smashbox Be Legendary Mandarin Lipstick
Hello Lovelies,
My lipstick collection pretty much consists of nudes, more nudes, pinks, and a couple more pinks. I was just never able to find a red lipstick that I like and that I felt suited me. Then, a few weeks ago I was introduced to the Smashbox Be Legendary lipstick in Mandarin and instantly fell in love with it!
Smashbox Be Legendary Mandarin Lipstick
The Smashbox Be Legendary lipstick in Mandarin is perhaps not the most traditional of red lipsticks and it certainly has orange tones running through it, but it's definitely still a gorgeous colour that's more red than anything else I've ever worn. The pigmentation is amazing and what I also love about this lipstick is that it doesn't bleed. So many other reds I've tried always bleed on my lips, even if I wear lip liner. I've not had this problem with my Smashbox Mandarin lipstick which makes me even more happy with it!
The formula of this lipstick is very creamy. It contains Vitamins C and E as well as shea butter and feels extremely moisturising on the lips. It's also very long wearing and I can go well over 3 hours before I need to reapply it.
Smashbox Be Legendary lipstick in Mandarin  is also the perfect colour for spring and summer which is almost around the corner now!
Smashbox Be Legendary Mandarin Lipstick
Now I have to admit I'm usually a MAC girl when it comes to lipsticks, but it's nice to try something different every once in a while and the Smashbox Be Legendary lipstick in Mandarin certainly ticks all the boxes for me!
I'm definitely going to be branching out and adding some more reds to my collection, so please let me know if you have any recommendations or favourites I need to check out!
You can purchase the Smashbox Be Legendary Lipstick online or at your nearest Smashbox counter. It retails for £15.50.
I hope you've enjoyed this post. Thanks for reading!

NARS Tzarine Eyeshadow Duo

NARS Tzarine Eyeshadow Duo
Hey Lovelies,
Hope you're all well and having a good week! I'm off work this week but haven't gone away anywhere. Sometimes it's nice to relax at home rather than travel which is exactly what I'm doing. It's also a great opportunity to write up a couple of blog posts, especially seeing as I've done a bit of shopping lately haha! One of the make up counters I went to on my latest shopping trip was NARS. I don't know about you, but when I go to a make up counter I can rarely buy just one thing, and more often than not end up leaving with 3 or 4 items rather than just the one I originally wanted to purchase.
NARS Tzarine Eyeshadow Duo
Seeing as I'm starting to develop a bit of an obsession with NARS eyeshadows, it should come as no surprise that I ended up treating myself to the NARS Tzarine eyeshadow duo.
The main reason why I am loving NARS eyeshadow duos is because they are so easy to apply and wear. If you are anything like me, you probably own far to many eyeshadows and eyeshadow pallets. Sometimes I just want a really simple eye make up look that's quick to do and does not involve using 4 or more different eyeshadows. That's what makes the NARS eyeshadow duos so perfect. They consist of 2 colours. So in the morning, you don't end up spending ages deciding which colours to use! They also don't take up too much space in your make up back, making them the perfect item to take away with you if you are going away somewhere.
NARS Tzarine Eyeshadow Duo
As you can see, the first colour in the NARS Tzarine eyeshadow duo is a lovely champagne colour. The second shade is an almost blue toned silver/grey colour which looks gorgeous, especially on brown or hazel eyes. Both colours have a sheen to them. The pigmentation is also amazing as you can see in the swatch below.
I like using the lighter colour on the lid and the darker colour blended through the crease and outer corner of my eyes. Both shades are soft, creamy and very easy to blend. However I have found I need to use an eyeshadow primer such as a MAC paint pot or the Urban Decay Primer Potion to make sure that the colours stay on all day.
You can buy NARS Tzarine online or at your nearest NARS counter. It retails for £25.00.
I am pretty sure I will be investing in a few more NARS eyeshadow duos in the future so I'd love to hear your recommendations.
I hope you've enjoyed this post lovelies! Thanks for reading.

Miss Dior Eau de Parfum Review

Christian Dior Miss Dior Eau de Parfum Hello Lovelies,
I hope you're all well and had a great weekend! I worked this weekend but I've got the next 2 days off which I am planning on using productively by going down the gym and writing up one or 2 blog posts for you.
I've never done a fragrance review on my blog before, mainly because I find it incredibly difficult describing perfumes. I usually just smell them in the shop and go yes I like this or no, this is horrible. I suppose that wouldn't be very helpful in a blog post haha! One amazing scent I definitely want to share with you lovelies though is Christian Dior's Miss Dior Eau de Parfum. This is my all time favourite perfume and one I have been wearing for many years. It was first released in 2005 and used to be known as Miss Dior Cherie, but recently Dior have renamed it Miss Dior Eau de Parfum. I always have to have a bottle of this in my perfume collection and can rarely walk past a Dior counter without a spritz or 2 of this lovely scent!
Christian Dior have several fragrances in the Miss Dior range, all packaged in a gorgeous square glass bottle with a super cute silver bow on it. My favourite is their Miss Dior Eau de Parfum. It's a beautiful floral fragrance that's not too sweet and definitely my favourite perfume of all time!
Now I've said I'm completely rubbish at describing scents, but I've found this on the Selfridges website if you are interested in an actual description of the scent:
Bold and elegant, Miss Dior eau de parfum by Dior reveals the timeless chic of Dior in a sensual floral chypre fragrance. Sicilian Mandarin, Blood Orange and Bergamot form a captivating combination. The floral and feminine heart beats with a blend of Indian and Egyptian Jasmine Absolute combined with Essence of Damask Rose and Tunisian Orange Blossom Absolute. The modern and regal Essence of Indonesian Patchouli gives the fragrance an utterly contemporary level of sophistication. Finally, the woody base notes of Indian Sandalwood and Vetiver give off warm and sensual accords.
I know it's a bit of a cop out to just copy and paste something from a website into a blog post (sorry!), but I wouldn't know how else to describe the Miss Dior Eau de Parfum. If you've not smelt it before, I highly recommend having a little sniff next time you are at a Dior counter. Let me know if you love it just as much as I do!
At the moment Dior are even giving away these 7ml sample nail polishes in Boots when you purchase a Dior fragrance, just in time for Valentine's Day!
Both colours are stunning and a very welcome glamorous addition to my nail polish collection!
Here's the price list if you are thinking of treating yourself, (or asking your other half to treat you haha) to this lovely perfume:
Miss Dior Eau de Parfum 30ml RRP £47.00
Miss Dior Eau de Parfum 50ml RRP £66.00
Miss Dior Eau de Parfum 100ml RRP £93.00
I would definitely recommend shopping around though because many stores often have fragrances on offer, especially around Valentine's Day, so you'll rarely end up having to pay the full price. I paid £58.50 when I bought my 50ml bottle in Boots last week and got the 2 nail polishes as my free gift with purchase.
Do you have an all time favourite perfume that you always have to have a bottle of in your collection? Which one is it?
I hope you've enjoyed this post and thanks for reading!

Back to MAC

Hey Lovelies,
I finally managed to use up another 6 MAC products, and this week I took my empties back to the MAC counter to exchange them for a free lipstick, so I thought I'd do a little post for you showing you what I've used up and which lipstick I chose. Enjoy!
Back to MAC
MAC Brush Cleanser, 235ml RRP £10.00 (LINK)
I've been using this brush cleanser for years. It does an amazing job at cleaning, disinfecting and conditioning my make up brushes. No matter which other brush cleansers I try, I always go back to MAC's Brush Cleanser. That the empty bottle counts towards your Back to MAC empties is another huge incentive to keep repurchasing it haha.
MAC Fix+, 100ML RRP £14.50 (LINK)
I think this is one of MAC's most misunderstood products. There's a bit of a myth that Fix+ will make your make up stay on longer, and I've found that it doesn't really do that. However I love using my Fix+ spray to freshen up my make up throughout the day. This fancy water is infused with green tea, chamomile and cucumber, making it great for your skin!
MAC Studio Sculpt Foundation, 40ml, RRP £25.00 (LINK)
This is probably my favourite MAC foundation, and I've repurchased it quite a few times already. It's a gel based foundation that gives medium-full coverage and has a dewy finish that looks great in pictures!
MAC Bronzing Powder in Bronze, 10g, RRP £20.00 (LINK)
I used this powder to contour and bronze. It blends really well and doesn't look orange which is pretty much what you need from a bronzer.
MAC Studio Careblend Pressed Powder, 10g, RRP £20.00 (LINK)
As the name suggests, MAC's Studio Careblend Pressed Powder is a powder you use to set your make up. It comes in 8 different shades. Even though I enjoyed using this product, I won't be repurchasing it at the moment as I do prefer my MAC Mineralise Skinfinishes or their Studio Fix powder to set my make up.
MAC Cherish Lipstick, RRP £15.00 (LINK)
MAC describe their Cherish lipstick as a soft muted peachy beige. It has a satin finish. This lipstick was very pigmented and long wearing, but I did find it to be slightly drying on my lips so I am in no hurry to replace it in my collection.
MAC Impassioned Lipstick
Originally I had planned to get Vegas Volt, but then I tried both Vegas Volt and Impassioned at the MAC counter and decided to go with Impassioned. I think MAC's Impassioned is one of those iconic MAC lipsticks everyone should own! It has an amplified finish. Amplifed finsihes are probably my favourites becaucse they are long wearing and very moisturising. I think that Impassioned is the perfect colour for spring and summer which is almost around the corner now. Here's a swatch for all of you who love a good swatch!
MAC Impassioned on lips
So as you can see, Impassioned is a lovely bright pink shade which MAC describe as an amped up fuchsia.
I hope you've enjoyed this post and if you've got any MAC lipstick recommendations for me please leave them in the comments below.

Dr. Andrew Weil for Origins Mega-Bright Dark Circle Minimizer
Hey Lovelies,
Hope you're all well and having a good week! I'm really looking forward to  this weekend because it's not only my weekend off but my lovely friend Claire is visiting from Bristol. Other than the usual shopping and drinking I will be doing a wedding make up trial on her. So as you can probably imagine I'm very excited! I also finished work early today, so I done a bit of shopping (standard) and now I'm home I thought I'd write up a little blog post on an eye cream I've been using since December, and it's the amazing the Dr. Andrew Weil for Origins Mega-Bright Dark Circle Minimizer (a bit of a mouthful I know!)
This is a new eye cream which Origins have released and I was lucky enough to be sent for review.
Let's start with the science behind the Origins Mega-Bright Dark Circle Minimizer. The product contains Molasses and Ume to help remove dark circles that are caused by sun damage, ageing and tiredness. It also has Centella Asiatica in it, which boots collagen and reduces the appearance of dark shadows, as well as Rosa Roxbutghii. I'll be honest I had no idea what Rosa Roxbutghii is, but I found out at my local Origins counter that it's a complex that's rich in Vitamin C and brightens the under eye area.
In a nutshell, this product promises to reduce dark under eye circles and protect your delicate under eye area.
Dr. Andrew Weil for Origins Mega-Bright Dark Circle Minimizer
I have been using the Dr. Andrew Weil for Origins Mega-Bright Dark Circle Minimizer twice a day for the past month, once in the morning and once in the evening. After cleansing I pat barely a pea sized amount under my eyes using my ring finger. The cream absorbs quickly into my skin, feels very lightweight and instantly hydrates my under eye area. The one thing that's impressed me the most about this cream is how well it works! I am happy to report that after using this product for about a month, the bags under my eyes are not as bad as they used to be! I wouldn't say that I no longer have dark under eye circles, and I still need to use concealer, but when I'm not wearing any make up the area under my eyes definitely looks a lot brighter than it used to. This is definitely a product you need to use daily over a period of time to see results, but the results are certainly worth it!
You can purchase the Dr. Andrew Weil for Origins Mega-Bright Dark Circle Minimizer online or at your nearest Origins counter and it retails for £32.00.
Do you use eye cream? Which one is your favourite?
