Moroccan Oil Treatment
Hey lovelies,
Hope you're all well and having a good start to the week! Today's post is going to be all about the Moroccan Oil Treatment which I recently picked up after reading a lot of rave reviews about it. My hair has taken a severe battering over the years, and I was very curious to see if this product lived up to its hype of being one of the must-have hair oils out on the market.
Over the years I have tried various high street hair oils and treatments. Even though some of them were better than others, none of the products I used really gave me the results I have hoping for, so I decided to invest in the Moroccan Oil Treatment in the hope that it would make a visible difference to my heat damaged locks.
Let me start by telling you a little bit about my hair. It's naturally very thick and curly, which I don't like at all. I've probably spent the past 15 years or so abusing my hair with hair straighteners and chemical straightening treatments. This has resulted in my hair becoming very dry and damaged, so I'm always on the lookout for products that will help repair my hair and fight the frizz. Though I have stopped using chemical straightening treatments on my hair, I still abuse it with my beloved GHDs on a daily basis. I know I really shouldn't do this and don't get me wrong, I think curls can look absolutely  stunning on other people, but they just don't suit me. I prefer for my hair to be sleek and straight.
Moroccan Oil Treatment
First things first, I'm a big fan of the Moroccan Oil Treatment packaging. The bottle reminds me a lot of old school cough medicine. Its made out of very thick glass, making it sturdy and shatterproof, and I'm sure it would look very pretty sat on anyones dressing table. I especially like the pump this product has because it lets you control  exactly how much you are using and results in no product being wasted.
You can either use the Moroccan Oil Treatment on your hair while its damp, or on dry hair. As my hair is very damaged, I tend to do both. One of the things I noticed when I applied this product for the first time is how quickly it absorbed into my hair! This hair oil isn't sticky at all and leaves no residue. My hair becomes instantly more manageable as soon as I apply it. I use about 3 pumps of this when my hair is damp and one more pump when it's dry. Now you would think using 4 pumps of hair oil would make your hair a greasy mess, but that's not the case at all with the Moroccan Oil Treatment. Once I have blow dried my hair and ran the straightners through it, it feels incredibly soft. Argan oil is the antioxidant ingredient in this product which conditions your hair, protects it against environmental damage and leaves it looking shiny and healthy.
I really like how my hair feels and looks every time I use this product, which is around 3 times a week. It's also got a really pleasant soft scent which leaves my hair smelling lovely.
The Moroccan Oil Treatment is priced at £30.45 for 100ml and is available online from places like Look Fantastic. Now that is a pretty high end price tag for a hair oil, but so far I am loving using this product and hope to see long term improvements to the condition of my hair. I will keep you posted and let you know how I get on!
Have any of you tried the Moroccan Oil Treatment? What are your thoughts on it?
Thank you for reading!

  1. Hi Nuala, Moroccan oil is something that I've had on my wishlist too, as like you have abused the straighteners over the years and also coloured and highlighted my hair too, so it's not in the best condition.

Will definitely be on the look out for this now after your great review.

  4. I'm unsure whether I need to delve down this root (ha pun unintended!). My hair isn't too dry as apart from hairdryers and the occasially curling session I haven't abused my hair too much. That said I'm interested to see if it would make a difference as so many people rave about it!

  5. This has been on my wish list for years now but the price tag has put me off (and i refuse to buy the smaller one as the big works out so much better money wise haha)! But after seeing this I am going to pop it on my birthday list and give some hints to my boyfriend ;) xxx

  9. I am gonna look it up right now that I've read your review. It's been a big hit in Australia for over a year now, but I've recently gotten really dry hair, so I think I might give it a treat.
