Empty MAC products
Hey Lovelies,
So if you read my blog you may have noticed that I do quite a lot of back to MAC posts. I've got a lot of MAC products, so I've been making a conscious effort to downsize my collection by using up as many products as possible. For every 6 MAC products you use up, you get a free  MAC lipstick, which is obviously a great incentive!
Here are the 6 MAC products I've managed to use up over the last few months. As you can see, I've gone through quite a lot of foundations so lets get started so I can tell you a little bit more about the products.
MAC Studio Sculpt Foundation
This is a gel based foundation that gives medium to full coverage and looks great in pictures! I wouldn't recommend this product if you prefer foundations that feel really light on this skin, but if you're like me you don't mind something a bit more heavy do check out MAC Studio Sculpt.  I apply this foundation using a flat topped foundation brush such as the MAC 190. It lasts all day on my skin and when I've got this on I usually use MAC Strobe Cream as my primer. Those 2 products work great together!
MAC Brush Cleanser
I don't know why more make up companies don't bring out brush cleansers. I've been using the MAC brush cleanser for years and I love it! It works great for spot cleaning my brushes. I've done a whole post on this which you can read by clicking here.
MAC Prep and Prime Skin
This is a really nice foundation primer that works a lot better than the Laura Mercier one which costs about twice as much. MAC Prep and Prime Skin contains silicones that smooth out the skin, making your foundation go on a lot smoother.
MAC Pro Longwear Foundation
Another fab MAC foundation with medium to full buildable coverage. This foundation has more of a satin finish and lasts all day. As it contains an SPF it's perhaps not the best foundation to use for pictures. If you fancy something with a less matte finish than Estee Lauder Double Wear, MAC Pro Longwear could be quite a good option for you.
MAC Pro Longwear Concealer
I've done a separate review on this product which you can read by clicking here. In a nutshell, this is my favourite concealer to cover up under eye circles. It's long wearing and does not crease. I will definitely repurchase this concealer!
MAC Full Coverage Foundation
This foundation is exactly what it says: Full Coverage. It's a wax based foundation that photographs really well. I did find though that it does feel very heavy on my skin, so I actually used this as a concealer rather than a foundation. This product works great at covering up all the rubbish on my face and lasts all day!
MAC Patisserie Lipstick
After a bit of dithering about at the MAC counter, I decided for Vegas Volt, but as it was out of stock I went for my second choice: MAC Patisserie.
MAC Patisserie is a nude lipstick described by MAC as a sheer creamy neutral pink, which is pretty spot on. I would say this is another one of those your lips but better colours. Some nudes can be too pale for me and make me look slightly dead, but that's not the case with MAC Patisserie. The formula is very moistuising on the lips which I like but it's not the most long wearing of MAC lipsticks.  This lipstick has a lustre finish which means it has a slight sheen to it.
MAC Patisserie lipstick on lips
I don't think Patisserie is a must have lipstick, and you could probably find plenty of dupes for it at the drugstore, but it is definitely a very wearable shade and I'm sure I'll get lots of use out of it.
What's your favourite MAC lipstick?
