I hope you're all well and had a fab week! I've loved this week, not only did I attend the London Bloggers Party yesterday, which my first ever blogging event, but I also got a new camera and received some lovely goodies from the gorgeous Fisi who runs Oh Snap Babes! on a swap we arranged. The sun has also finally decided to make an appearance in London town and I really hope summer is finally on its way after months of rain.
I can't believe tomorrow is the 1st of July already, so let's get cracking with my June Empties. I didn't use up that many products in May, but I as you can see certainly made up for it in June!
Garnier Olia Permanent Hair Colour
I decided to colour my hair this month and picked up this hair dye from Sainsbury's. It contains no ammonia and is the first permanent home hair dye that's made up of 60% oils. One of the first things I noticed about the Garnier Olia Permanent Hair Colour is that it smells nothing like any of the other hair dyes I've ever tried. This product has a slight floral scent which is very unusual for a hair dye. As this dye is oil based, it's pretty messy to apply so do be careful not to get it on your furniture. It will stain and is impossible to remove, as I have found out! I bought this in the colour Iced Chocolate which comes out a very dark brown. I only applied this last week so I am still hoping the colour will fade a bit as it's slightly too dark for my liking. I'd really recommend the Garnier Olia Permanent Hair Colour if you've got dry hair like me because it's really nourished my hair and left it feeling and looking less dry and damaged..
TRESemme Heat Defence Styling Spray
If like me you constantly abuse your hair by applying hair straighteners to it and blow drying it on pretty much a daily basis, it's incredibly important to use a heat protector. The TRESemme Heat Defence Styling Spray protects your hair from up to 230°C heat. I've enjoyed using this product and would always apply it to my hair when it was still wet and before blow drying it, but you can also apply it to dry hair before running your straightening irons through it. The formula did not leave my hair feeling sticky or greasy like some heat defence products can. This bottle lasted me about 2 months and like most TRESemme products it's fantastic value for money.
TRESemme Split Remedy Serum
This serum is another product I'd apply to my hair when it's wet before blow drying it. This product claims to repair split ends by up to 80% after just 3 uses. Now when you have lots of split ends, the best thing to do is go to the hairdressers for a trim, and I am a bit sceptical of products that claim to fix your split ends. Having said that, I did notice that the condition of my hair improved whilst using this serum, and rather than getting rid of split ends (only scissors can really do that), the TRESemme Split Remedy Serum kept my hair in a stable condition and stopped me from getting new split ends.
I have been using the Soap and Glory Sugar Crush Body Scrub (review) and the Soap and Glory Righteous Butter (review) as part of my Fake Tanning Routine. The night before I do my fake tan I will exfoliate my skin and apply a body butter, and I'll almost always use a Soap and Glory scrub and body butter to do this because they smell amazing and give great results. Even if your not a fake tanner like me, I would still recommend exfoliating and applying a body butter at least once a week, especially now it's summer and we all want our skin to look and feel smooth and soft. I love the Righteous Butter body butter and will always repurchase it. I did really enjoy using the Sugar Crush Body Scrub too, but my favourite exfoliator will always be the Soap and Glory Flake Away Scrub.
Clarins Instant Smooth Perfecting Touch
I love this product and am really gutted I've used it all up now. I know many people use the Clarins Instant Smooth Perfecting Touch as a primer, but I think it's too thick to use all over your face. I only apply this product to the areas that need it and it's great for disguising fine lines and wrinkles. I've heard that Clarins have released a new version of this product that also contains fake tan, and being a complete fake tan junkie I can't wait to get my hands on it!
Soap and Glory Peaches and Clean
I am very glad to see the back of this product. Usually I love Soap and Glory but sadly their Peaches and Clean Cleanser did not work for me. This product stings like mad if you get it near your eyes and I'm not a fan of the minty scent either. It's not bad at removing make up but there are better cleansers on the market for the same price if not cheaper (such as my beloved Superdrug Hot Cloth Cleanser). It's also impossible to get all the product out of the bottle. I won't be repurchasing this.
Superdrug Naturally Radiant Brightening Hot Cloth Cleanser
I'm completely in love with the Superdrug Hot Cloth Cleansers and cannot recommend them enough. They are fantastic quality and very affordable. The Superdrug Naturally Radiant Brightening Hot Cloth Cleanser feels really luxurious when you apply it, you'd be forgiven for thinking it's a high and product that cost you muchos £££. I've done a whole review on this amazing cleanser which you can read by clicking here.
Garnier Intensive Softening Nourishing Lotion
I love the Garnier Intensive 7 Days range. It comes in different formulas for various skin types, so there's bound to be a version of it that's suitable for you! I bought the one for Normal-Dry skin which I found to be very moisturising. This product absorbs quickly into the skin and I love the formula of this product - even though it contains almond oil, it's not greasy or sticky at all!

Bath and Body Work Pink Chiffon Body Lotion
Dear Bath and Body Works, if you are reading this, please come back to the UK. We miss you! I'm a massive fan of BABW products and always make my mum bring me back some goodies whenever she is visiting from Dubai. The Pink Chiffon Body Lotion contains vitamin E, jojoba and shea butter. It absorbs quickly into the skin leaving it feeling soft and moisturised. I love the scent as well and if you have a chance of getting your hands on some Bath and Body Works products I can really recommend their Pink Chiffon range, it's one of my favourites!Well, that's everything I've used up this month. Sadly I didn't get through any make up but I have nearly finished a few foundations so keep a look out for those in my next Empties post!
