April Empties

Hey Everyone,
Hope you're all well! So tomorrow it's the 1st of May, and April is another month that seems to have flown by! Here are all the products I have managed to use up in April.
April Empties
Doing these posts quite regularly has made me realise that I do go thorough a lot of beauty products every month. I'm not quite sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing, but I suppose using up products is always nice because it means you can buy more! (Any excuse eh...)
Let's begin with mascaras:
 April Empties
As you can see, I have used up quite a lot of mascaras in April, but there is an explanation for this. At the beginning of the month I got a stye which was extremely irritating. For those of you that don't know what a stye is, it's like a spot underneath your eyelid. I got some ointment from the pharmacy for it and couldn't wear any eye make up for about 5 days (which in itself was a pretty traumatic experience for me). Anyway, I'm not sure why I got a stye as I've never had one before, but just to be on the safe side I threw out all of my mascaras. I've had all of these mascaras for quite a while so it was about time I had a clear out anyway.
Soap and Glory Thick and Fast Mascara
Now this is quite possibly the worst mascara I have ever tried. I don't know if I just got a faulty one but this did nothing for my lashes. This mascara is dry and clumpy, doesn't lengthen my lashes and doesn't give them any volume. Basically everything I don't need in a mascara. I don't know why I didn't throw it out any sooner.
Would repurchase? No way!
L'Oreal False Lash Telescopic
I think this mascara was released in 2012 and I quite like it. The fact that Cheryl Cole advertises this mascara probably helps as I will try any beauty product she promotes. It's perhaps not the best mascara for adding volume but it has a thin plastic wand that gives lots of length to your lashes If your after a great drugstore mascara this one is definitely worth checking out.
Would repurchase? Yes
Clinique High Impact Mascara
This is only a small sample but it did not make me want to rush out and buy a full size of it. It's an ok mascara, nothing wrong with it, but it's not amazing and there are plenty of drugstore mascaras that are just as good if not better.
Would repurchase? No
Lancome Hypnose Drama Mascara
This is another sample size, but trying it made me get a full size of it because this is a truly amazing mascara. Lancome Hypnose adds volume and length to your lashes and gives you that gorgeous false lash effect. I've done a full review on this with before and after pictures which you can read by clicking here.
Would repurchase? Yes
April Empties
Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Anti Chip Top Coat (Review)
I really loved this top coat when I first bought it. It dries your nails quickly and stops them from chipping. However after a while the consistency of this product turned gloopy and stringy, and I've had to throw it out before I'd finished the bottle. I think this is still a great top coat though, however it has a shelf life of no more than 1-2 months which is a shame as you end up wasting a lot of product.
Would repurchase? Yes
Bourjois Magic Nail Polish Remover (Review)
I love this products and it lasted me about 2 months. It's a really easy and mess-free way to remove your nail polish. Dunk your finger in the pot, swirl it around and hey presto your nail polish is off. After a while it did start leaving a white residue on my fingers, so I decided it's time to throw it out and buy a new one.
Would repurchase? Yes
Nails Inc A and E Emergency Top Coat
This is a brilliant top coat that made my nails stronger and stopped them from splitting and breaking. It's also a really good base for nail polish.
 Would repurchase? Yes
April Favourites
Superdrug Naturally Radiant Brightening Hot Cloth Cleanser (review)
Superdrug Vitamin E Hot Cloth Cleanser (review)
I really can't stop raving about either of these products! They are both absolutely amazing at removing make up and cleansing your face, leaving it feeling soft and smooth. There's not much in it for me between both these products, I love them both equally and seem to chop and change between them depending on my mood, but I do think the Naturally Radiant Brightening Hot Cloth Cleanser is the more popular one between the 2. If you haven't tried these yet make sure you pick one of them up next time your in Superdrug (or both, as I did).
Would repurchase? Yes
Xen Tan Dark Lotion Absolute Luxe
Please excuse the dirty packaging in the picture but it's pretty much impossible to keep fake tan bottles clean. I do love this tan though! Xen Tan Dark Lotion Absolute Luxe is one of those fake tans you apply in the evening, leave it to develop overnight as you sleep and wash it off in the morning. It's a creamy product that smells amazing and leaves you with a deep yet natural looking tan that lasts up to a whole week.
Would repurchase? Yes
Soap and Glory Clean on Me Shower Gel
The Soap and Glory Clean on Me Shower Gel lasted me ages which is probably because it comes with a pump! This left my skin feeling soft and clean without ruining my fake tan. It's also got the signature Soap and Glory smell which is lovely.

Would repurchase? Yes
Love Chloe Body Lotion
This is one of those free body lotions you get with perfume gift sets. Even though I love the Chloe perfume it came with, the body lotion is too fragranced and not very moisturising. I've just used it up for the sake of it.
Would repurchase? No
April Empties
John Frieda Full Repair Conditioner
I decided to buy the John Frieda Full Repair Conditioner after reading India from Jewel Beauty's Updated Hair Care Post (link). India has the most beautiful long hair and when I saw she uses this product I knew I had to try it. This product always leaves my hair feeling lovely after I've used it, so I'm really glad I bought it, and I'm definitely gonna try out more haircare products which India uses and recommends!
Would repurchase? Yes
Aussie Volume Conditioner
Usually if I'm buying an Aussie Conditioner I go for their 3 Minute Miracle one, but I decided to give this one a go instead. I thought it was ok, but not as good as some of the other conditioners in their range. It left my hair conditions as you would expect from a conditioner but it was nothing special. Maybe this product just didn't work with my hair type but I was expecting more from it, especially as this is more expensive drugstore conditioner.
Would repurchase? No
Well that's it for my April Empties! I hope you've enjoyed this post, and if you've shared your Empties this month don't forget to leave me a link at the bottom so I can have a nosey at what you've used up too!

April Favourites

Hey Everyone,
I feel like I've been a bit of a bad blogger as I haven't put up any favourites posts this year. I just didn't know what products to include in my favourites. I've been blogging about all the products I've been loving, and I thought if I did favourites posts they would just end up being too repetitive.
I have however really missed putting up my monthly favourites, and I love reading everyones beauty favourites at the end of each month, so I have decided to start doing these posts again and to share with you the products that have been standing out for me each month.
So without much further ado I present to you my April Favourites!
April Favourites
Superdrug Vitamin E Hot Cloth Cleanser
I'm totally in love with the Superdrug Hot Cloth Cleansers! I use this every night to cleanse my face and it's just as good as Liz Earle's Hot Cloth Cleanser, for over half the price. This product is gentle on the skin, yet removes all make up, leaving your skin feeling clean and soft. What more could you want? I've done a full review on this which you can read by clicking here.
Bath and Body Works Secret Garden Scented Candle
My mum was recently over from Dubai where she lives for a visit and she bought me back a couple of Bath and Body Works candles. This candle smells absolutely amazing! The smell is soft yet noticeable, and it lingers in the room even once you've put the candle out. Bath and Body Works candles are definitely worth the hype and I really wish their stores would reopen again in the UK! I always burn this candle when I'm painting my nails to take away some of the strong nail polish scent. It's also a lovely candle to burn while you're relaxing and it's my favourite for a Sunday evening.
Bath and Body Works Shea Cashmere Hand Cream
Another Bath and Body Works products I've been loving this month is their Shea Cashmere Hand Cream. This is always in my handbag and I apply it several times a day. It leaves my hands feeling smooth but not greasy, and it's got a lingering pomegranate scent that's really lovely. I get lots of compliments from people on the scent when I apply it!
Laura Mercier Silk Creme Foundation
This is one of my all time favourite foundations. Whenever I get compliments and am told I look healthy, I'm wearing this foundation. Surely this can't be a coincidence! I know there are plenty of reviews in the bloggersphereabout Laura Mercier Silk Creme Foundation, so I won't go on about it too much. My colour is Cashew Beige and it's a medium to full coverage foundation which leaves a gorgeous dewy finish on the skin. If you haven't yet tried this you really need to pop down to your nearest Laura Mercier counter and ask for a sample because it's an amazing product which there really are no dupes for!
Laura Mercier Loose Setting Powder
I recently rediscovered Laura Mercier Loose Setting Powder in my make up collection and I've been using it daily to set my under eye concealer. This makes my under eye make up last all day and stops it from creasing so it's certainly a product I would recommend investing in, especially for those of us who find that their under eye concealer slips and creases throughout the day!
Ojon Rare Blend Oil
This is a small sample I nicked of my mum and I absolutely love it. It's a really thick hair oil so you only need a small amount of it. I've got really dry and damaged hair and using this has made a massive difference. I apply it to my hair when it's wet. Once I've blowdried my hair the Ojon Rare Blend Oil leaves it feeling soft and smooth but not at all greasy. I'm gonna be buying a full size of this once I've used up the sample and will be doing a full review of it then so keep a lookout for that!
Urban Decay Primer Potion
This is a small sample I got with the Original Naked Pallet and it's by far the best eyeshadow primer I have ever tried. I've been using this every day throughout April and it really makes my eyeshadow last all day long and stops it from creasing! I've been using this underneath my MAC paint pots and I'm loving the effect this gives, so if you own a Primer Potion, try using it with your MAC paint pots, especially with Bare Study. The combination of them 2 products is really beautiful!

Well, that's it for my April Favourites. Have you tried any of these products?
Thank you for reading!

NOTD - Essie Cute As A Button

Essie Cute As A Button
Hey Lovelies,
Today's post is going to be a quick NOTD for you all!
Recently Boots were running a 3 for 2 promotion across most of their makeup and skincare. This promotion included Essie nail polishes. Some might say that that's a good thing. My bank manager however would beg to differ. My Essie nail polish collection has grown from about 3 to 14 in a very short period of time. Luckily for my bank balance, Boots are no longer running this promotion so I'm taking a break from buying nail polish for a while.
I'm going to try and review as many of my Essie polishes as I can for you, and I thought no better way to start this mini series than with one of my favourites: Cute As A Button!
Essie describe Cute As A Button as "a juicy persimmon delight" on their website. Now I had no idea what persimmon means but Google is telling me it's some kind of fruit.
Cute As A Button is a really unique nail polish. I'd say it's a pink/orange colour which perfect for spring and summer and a great alternative to red nails. This colour is really pretty and girly and looks amazing, even on shorter nails.
In the picture above I'm wearing 2 coats of Cute As A Button with a top coat, and it lasts about 3-4 days on my nails before it begins to chip which is not bad at all! It's also one of those colours that's not too noticable if it does chip, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a coral coloured nail polish!
What's your favourite Essie polish for spring?

MAC Eyeshadow Haul

Hello Lovelies,
I hope you're all well and having a good week.
A few of weeks ago I had some time off work and MAC gift vouchers to spend.
MAC gift vouchers can't be spent at MAC counters/concessions in department stores for some reason, so I headed off  to Westfield where my nearest MAC store is. As you can see, I  went a lil eyeshadow crazy.
I love MAC eyeshadows. I'd even go as far as saying eyeshadows are the best products that MAC do. The range of colours that they offer is second to none and I can't think of a single brand which is as easily accessible as MAC and offers as many colours as they do.
The quality of MAC eyeshadows is amazing too. I find them highly pigmented, very finely milled and easy to blend and work with. MAC eyeshadows are also very long wearing and you don't get a lot of fall out from the,. I'm so addicted to MAC eyeshadows that I own 2 of their large eyeshadow pallets which fit 15 shadows each as well as a smaller pallet that fits 4 eyeshadows. I know that that's a slightly ridiculous amount of eyeshadow, but I wear eyeshadow on a daily basis, so I do not feel like this collection is unloved or going to waste.
As you can see from the colours that I picked, I love wearing neutral colours on my eyes. I've swatched these shades without a primer for so you can see just how pigmented the colours are.
MAC Smut
Smut is a velvet finish. MAC describe it as a muted black with red shimmer. It's the perfect colour to create a dark smokey eye without using black eyeshadow which can sometimes look a bit too harsh, especially if you've got smaller eyes. Smut looks great blended through the crease or applied to the outer v to smoke out any eye look.
MAC Woodwinked
I've owned Woodwinked before and used it all up. It's one of my favourite MAC eyeshadows so I decided to repurchase it. Woodwinked is a Veluxe Pearl finish, which is my favourite finish for a MAC eye shadow. MAC describe the colour as warm antique gold. Woodwinked is one of those shades that you can wear just by itself and will look beautiful no matter what eye colour you have.
MAC Soba
I bought this eyeshadow by accident as I was actually after Sable but I got the name wrong and ended up with Soba. MAC Soba has a satin finish and looks lovely as an all over lid colour or blended through the crease with a lighter shadow on the lid. MAC describe the colour as a gold brown with gold shimmer, but as you can see the picture, the finish of Soba is quite matt.
 MAC Club
MAC describe Club as a red-brown with green pearl. It is a satin finish. MAC Club has been on my wish list for ages. I think it's a shade that would suit any skin tone and like Smut is a great alternative to black eyeshadow when creating a dark smokey eye. I'm not sure I would use this as a lid colour as it's quite dark, but it looks amazing blended through the crease and outer v of your eyes.
 MAC Tempting
Tempting has a lustre finish which are known to have quite a bit of fall out when you use them. This is why I tend to stay away from lustre finishes, but I've heard so many great things about Tempting that I decided to buy it anyway. MAC describe Tempting as a sinfully rich coco and I definitely agree with this description. I think this shade would look amazing for an evening or on a night out.
MAC All That Glitters
All That Glitters is another one of my favourites. It's a veluxe pearl finish and MAC describe it as a beige colour with gold pearl. All That Glitters looks stunning worn as an all over lid colour or as a highlight colour and I am really glad to have it in my collection again as it's one of those every day shades you can always wear!

Well that's it for my MAC Eyeshadow Haul. I really hope you've enjoyed this post and found it useful. I love all these colours and if you're just starting out with MAC eyeshadow, I would recommend any of these.
What's your favourite MAC eyeshadow?

Lancôme Hypnose Drama Mascara - Review

Hello Lovelies,
How are you? I hope you've all had a good weekend and managed to finally get a bit of sunshine where you are!
Today's post is going to be about the Lancôme Hypnose Drama Mascara which my mum picked up for me at the airport this month.
Lancome Hypnose Drama Mascar
I've always been very loyal to L'Oreal mascaras, and L'Oreal's False Lash Telescopic has been a firm favourite of mine for quite a while, but when I found a sample size of the Lancôme Hypnose Drama Mascara hidden away in my make up collection and tried it, I fell in love and knew I needed to get a full size!
I love the look of false lashes, but I'm rubbish at putting them on myself. It also takes me long enough to get ready in the mornings without having to faff about with fake lashes, so I am always on the lookout for mascaras that give the false lash effect. The Lancôme Hypnose Drama Mascara really ticks all the boxes for me!
  Lancome Hypnose Drama Mascara
I normally use mascaras that have a thin wand and plastic bristles, so it did take me a few applications before I got used to the Lancôme Hypnose Drama Mascara, but once I did, I loved it!
Lancôme Hypnose Drama Mascara has a large curved brush that coats all your lashes beautifully, adding volume and length. It comes in a waterproof as well as a regular formula. My mum got me the regular formula as I never go for waterproof  mascaras because they're usually a nightmare to get off.
The formula of the mascara itself is thick and creamy. It does not clump your lashes or go gloopy. My lashes are nicely defined and have more volume when I use just one coat of the Lancôme Hypnose Drama Mascara, but I prefer using 2 or 3 coats of it to get more of a false lash effect.
Lancome Hypnose Drama Mascara
Here you can see how well the Lancôme Hypnose Drama Mascara works! I love how it lengthens my lashes and adds volume. Because this mascara has a curved wand, I would recommend curling your lashes before applying it.
The Lancôme Hypnose Drama Mascara is a long wearing mascara that does not flake or smudge throughout the day. Even though this mascara very long wearing, it's also very easy to remove with eye make up remover when you wish to take it off, so you do not have to spend ages rubbing your eyes with a cotton pad like you do with some mascaras!
As you can see from the picture, the colour of this mascara really is the blackest black and makes you like you've got false lashes on!
My sample size of the Lancôme Hypnose Drama Mascara didn't dry out and I had it for quite a while before I got the full size, so I am hoping the full size version will last me at least 3 or 4 months. You're meant to throw out your mascara every 6 months anyway for hygiene reasons, and I use mascara on a daily basis, so I rarely keep them longer than that amount of time anyway.
At £22.00, this mascara is definitely more on the pricey side but I absolutely love it, and if you're looking to splash out a little and treat yourself to a high end mascara that will lengthen and volumise your lashes, I can highly recommend the Lancôme Hypnose Drama Mascara! Quite a lot of mascaras I've tried either lengthen your lashes or add volume to them, but this mascara does both beautifully, which is just another reason why I love it so much!
What's your favourite mascara?

Back to MAC

Hello Lovelies,
I hope you're well. Recently I'd collected 6 MAC empties and took them Back to MAC to exchange them for a free lipstick of my choice.
 Back to MAC
I've done a Back to MAC post before (click here for the link), and as it's one of my most popular posts to date, I decided to do another one of them posts for you all.
If you don't know what I'm on about, Back to MAC is the best thing since sliced bread. Basically, you collect 6 MAC empties, take them back to the MAC store or MAC counter and exchange them for a lipstick of your choice. (This scheme excluded the VIVA Glam lipsticks).
Here's what MAC say on their website about the scheme:
"Because we share your commitment to the environment, M·A·C accepts returns of its primary packaging through the Back to M·A·C Program. By returning six [6] M·A·C primary packaging containers to a M·A·C counter or M·A·C Cosmetics online, you’ll receive a free M·A·C lipstick of your choice as our thanks to you."
I think Back to MAC is not only great for the environment as products get recycled, but it is also a very clever business idea from MAC because there will always be people like me out there who decide to buy all of their make up from MAC so they get free lipsticks! I don't just shop at MAC because of the Back to MAC scheme of course. I'm a massive fan of a lot of their products too! MAC is reasonably priced for a high end make up brand and I love the quality and massive range of products that they offer. The fact that I can return MAC empties to the MAC counter and exchange them for a free lipstick is just an added bonus.
Anyway, here are all the MAC empties I managed to collect over the past 6 months or so.
Back to MAC
I love MAC Strobe Cream. It's a luminous moisturiser infused with Vitamins. I like using this as a primer on the days when my skin is feeling quite dry. I also mix some of this product into my matt foundations to make the finish more dewy. MAC Strobe Cream can also be used as a highlighter for the top of your cheekbones. It's not glittery at all and leaves a lovely sheen on the skin.
Would Repurchase? Yes, I already own a second one of these
These wipes smell lovely but I don't really use make up wipes to remove my make up anymore. Also, you can get wipes that are just as good as MAC wipes from the drugstore.
Would Repurchase? No
I loved my Blot Powder until it shattered in my handbag. I ended up using the remains of it as a lose powder. I would buy this again as I love using it to touch up my make up during the day and it's especially great if you get an oily T-Zone. MAC Blot Powder is very sheer and will not make your make up look cakey. If you buy a darker shade thank your skin tone it's also great to use for contouring.
Would Repurchase? Yes
MAC Lip Glass in Viva Glam V
Somehow I have ended up with 4 of these in my collection, so I am trying to use them all up! I think I kept on getting this shade as a birthday present because all my friends know I love lipgloss! Viva Glam V is a lovely nude shade that's still quite pigmented and I often wear it on top of my lipstick!
Would Repurchase? No but only because I have 2 more of these to get through!
MAC Cream Colour Base in Pearl
I said to myself I wouldn't repurchase my MAC Cream Colour Base in Pearl but now I've used it all up I really miss it. This has been my favourite cream highlighter and I think next time I'm at MAC I'm going to have to replace it with a new one!
Would Repurchase? Yes
I bought this product as a present for my mum and told her once she's used it up I would need the empty little pot back. I haven't tried this eye cream myself but buying MAC products as Christmas or birthday presents for mothers or sisters and asking them to return the packaging to you is a great way of collecting more Back to MAC items!
Would Repurchase? Yes
The lipstick I decided to exchange my empties for is MAC Shy Girl.
I only ever really wear nude lipsticks. MAC Shy Girl is a lovely coral nude colour with orange undertones and it's perfect for spring! MAC lipsticks come in various formulas. Shy Girl is a Cremesheen lipstick
MAC Cremesheen lipsticks are all very pigmented yet creamy and moisturising, and MAC Shy Girl is no exception. If you're imto your nude lipsticks, I can really recommend checking it our next time you're at MAC!
MAC Shy Girl
I really love the Back to MAC programme. I've been taking my empties back to my local MAC counter for quite a few years now, and I probably get 2-3 free MAC lipsticks a year by doing so. Even though I buy a lot of make up from MAC, I never tend to purchase lipsticks anymore, simply because I know if I've got enough empties I can get them for free!
What's your favourite MAC lipstick? Let me know so I can check it out next time I have 6 empties to take
Back to MAC.
I hope you've enjoyed this post!

Clinique Bonus Time Haul

Hey Everyone,
Today's post is going to be another haul for you.
A few weeks ago I'd run put of night cream, so I went down to Boots with my Double Points voucher and picked up the Lancome Hydra Zen NeuroCalm Night Cream which cost me a whopping £41.00. When I got home I looked at my receipt and after much deliberation I decided that 41 quid is way too much to spend on a night cream. I done a bit of research online and decided to go back to Boots and exchange the Lancome night cream for the slightly cheaper Clinique Super Rescue Antioxidant Night Moisturiser which retails for £37. This wise move would save me £4.00, and with that money I was planning on treating myself to a Natural Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer.
What  a savvy shopper I am eh!
Well no, sadly it didn't quite work out like that.
When I went to pay for my moisturiser, the lovely Clinique lady advised me that if I bought one more product from Clinique, I would get a FREE gift (this promotion is called Clinique Bonus Time). Well those words are like music to any beauty bloggers ears. Of course I'd like a free gift! I was in 2 minds whether I should also buy the Clinique Line Smoothing Concealer or their Bottom Lash mascara. I decided to go for the concealer. I had a look at the Clinique Bottom Lash mascara, and even though it looks lovely I think I'd get more use out of the Clinique Line Smoothing Concealer, and here are my 2 lovely purchases:
I'm not going to talk too much about the Clinique Line Smoothing Concealer now as I'm planning to do a full review on it, but I can tell you that so far, I love it!
The main product I bought was obviously the Clinique Super Rescue Antioxidant Night Moisturiser. They do one for combination to oily skin but I got the dry combination skin one as my skin has been extremely dry lately (I blame the bad weather!).This product contains anti oxidants and helps minimise the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Being in my early 30s, this is exactly what I need!
Here are also all the lovely free goodies I got from Clinique, and I am very impressed with this little selection!
Clinique Quickliner For Eyes,  0.14g
Clinique Rinse-Off Foaming Cleanser, 50ml
Clinuque All About Eyes, 5ml
Clinique Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief, 15ml
Clinique High Impact Mascara, 3.5ml
Clinique Chubby Stick, 1.2g
These products are better and more useful to me than all samples I've ever received in any beauty box, and they come in a cute little make up bag as well. I love having little sample sizes as back ups in case I ever run out of anything. I also think they are really handy for travelling!
So even though I bought a little bit more than I intended, I'm pretty pleased with all my Clinique goodies. Have you taken advantage of Bonus Time at Clinique lately? What did you get?
Thanks for reading!

Benefit Erase Paste Review

Hey Everyone,
If you've seen my last post which was a haul, you'll know I recently bought up the Erase Paste concealer from Benefit. I've never owned a Benefit Erase Paste before, even though it's been on my wish list for ages. Last  week was not only payday and I also had some time off work, so I finally went out and bought it!
I know Benefit have only just released their brand new Fake Up concealer, and I did have a look at it when I was at the Benefit counter. I swatched both the Erase Paste and Fake Up concealers. Even though the new Fake Up concealer is lovely and I was really tempted to buy it, I decided to go for the Erase Paste instead. Not only has that been on my wish list for longer, but I also preferred the colour of it. I bought the Benefit Erase Paste in the shade medium, which is almost like a salmon colour, and that's the perfect colour for correcting and concealing dark under eye circles.

Like all Benefit products, the packaging of the Benefit Erase Paste is really cute and girly and would look lovely on any dressing table or vanity.
Benefit Erase Paste comes with a small spatula and you get 4.4g of product which is a very generous amount for a high end concealer. Benefit advise using this product by scooping at tiny amount of  Erase Paste out of the pot with the spatula provided and placing it on the back of your hand, then using your ring finger to blend it underneath your eye.
I'm quite messy though and I have a tendency to lose things, so give me a week or so and the spatula will have miraculously disappeared somewhere!
I use the Benefit Erase Paste with my Real Techniques Domed Shadow brush. I lightly dip my brush into the concealer and then gently buff it into my dark under eye circles.
Benefit Erase Paste is very creamy and blends really easily. I would however suggest setting it with a powder to stop it from creasing. I'm currently using the Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder and I find that my concealer lasts all day when I do this.
Benefit Erase Paste
Here I've used the Benefit Erase Paste so you can see how well it works. I'm not wearing anything else on my eye and the only make up I have on is foundation. I've also not put a filter on or retouched this image so you can see the true effect that Benefit Erase Paste really has.
This product can also be used as a highlighter or to conceal spots and blemishes, but I'm just going to use this as my under eye concealer, which brings me to the only slight negative thing I have to say about Benefit Erase Paste. Like many Benefit products, it only comes in 3 shades and I do wish they would bring out more shades because sometimes it's difficult finding a concealer that matches your skin tone when there are only 3 shades available.
As an under eye concealer however this works great, and I'm really glad that I finally got my hands on one of Benefit's best selling concealers!
What's your favourite concealer to use under your eyes?
Thank you for reading and till next time,
Nuala xxx

Boots and Benefit Haul

Hello Lovlies,
I hope you all had a great Easter! I was off work last week, and it also coincided with payday, which meant I've done a bit (ok, A LOT) of shopping lately.
I've got quite a bit of stuff to haul, and rather than putting it all in one post I've decided to break it down into a few smaller hauls. The first haul I'm bringing you is going to be on everything I got from Benefit and Boots. Unless you live under a rock (or if you live outside the UK of course), you will know that Boots are currently running their 3 for 2 promotion accross a lot of their make up, haircare and skincare. Not only that, but they also very kindly sent me double points vouchers which you can use with the Advantage Card. Now if that's not an excuse to go a little bit crazy in Boots, I don't know what is!

High end brands such as Benefit are sadly never included in the Boots 3 for 2 promotions, but most of their drugstore make up brands are. What I didn't realise is that you can't mix and match across skincare, haircare and make up. So there was me, happily filling my basket with all sorts of lovely products and making sure I had the right amount to take full advantage of the 3 for 2 deal. But then when I got to the till I was told by the cashier that you have to pick 3 similar products (for example, 2 haircare products or 2 Soap and Glory products) to get one free and I ended up putting all (ok, most) unnecessary items back This annoyed me slightly, but probably also saved me from spending a lot more money than I actually did!

One of the things that have been on my shopping list for a while are the Maybelline Eye Studio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliners. I picked up the colours black and brown. So far the only gel eyeliner I've ever used is MAC's Blacktrack. The Maybelline gel eyeliners have been recommended to me by quite a few beauty bloggers on Twitter as a cheaper alternative to MAC, and since I've nearly finished my MAC Blacktrack I decided to give the Maybelline ones a go. I'm not going to open these up though until I'm all out of MAC Blacktrack, but I am really looking forward to trying them and seeing how they fare.
I also bought 2 Rimmel eyeliners, one from their Scandaleyes range in the colour taupe and a regular Rimmel Soft Kohl eye liner in the colour grey. So far I already own the Rimmel Scandaleyes eye liner in Nude which I'm a big fan of, so I'm really excited aboutthese 2 colours. I hope they're as good as the Nude one!
My local Boots is a larger one and they have quite a few high end brands including Benefit, and as I was using my double points voucher I decided to treat myself to a couple of things from there. I got the Benefit Erase Paste concealer and the Benefit Brow Zings brow shaping kit. I'm going to do a full review on both of these product, so I won't talk about them too much now. Both these items have been on my wish list for ages though so I'm really glad I finally bought them!
And that's it for my Boots and Benefit haul. My next haul will be a Clinique one, followed by a MAC one so keep a lookout for those over the next couple of weeks.
Have you been shopping lately? What did you buy?
