Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Top Coat Review

Hello Lovelies,
I hope you are all well and having a great weekend! Sorry I haven't blogged all week but it's been quite a busy week for me. I do have next week of work though so I am hoping to take lots of pictures and prepare some blog posts for you!
If you read my last post which was a Haul, you will know that I've finally started painting my own nails after about 10 years of having acrylics (or in the last few months Shellac) on my nails. My nails are actually in quite good condition even though I had acrylics on for so long which I'm pretty pleased about.
I'm also really enjoying changing the colour of my nails several times a week and matching my nails to what I'm wearing (which I couldn't really do with Shellac or acrylics).
Anyway one thing I always hated about doing my own nails is waiting for them to dry. I'm so impatient and there's nothing I hate more than sitting around for ages waiting for my nail polish to dry!
And this is where this amazing product comes in:
I asked on one of the general #bbloggers chats on Twitter which nail products fellow beauty bloggers would recommend and the Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Top Coat was mentioned to me quite a few times.
I used this product for the first time on Thursday evening. After painting my nails (one base coat and 2 coats of Essie nail polish) I waited about 2 minutes. Then I applied the Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Top Coat. I know the product claims to dry your nails in 30 seconds. That does sound a little bit too good to be true to me so I waited for about 5 minutes. And my nails were dry!
Another thing that amazed me about this product that it  prevented my nail polish from chipping! I painted my nails on Thursday. Today is Sunday and my nail polish is still shiny and hasn't chipped! I didn't think that there was a product out there that could do that!
The consistency of the Sally Hansen Insta-Dri reminds me of the glue-type stuff they use on your nails in salons after painting them to make your nails really shiny. The only difference between what they use in salons and this is that this dries a lot quicker!
As you can probably gather, I cannot stop raving about this product! Thank you so much to all the lovely bloggers that recommended it to me!
I can see this product quite easily becoming one of my Holy Grail products. If you paint your own nails and haven't tried this yet, I really recommend you give it a go!
I bought my Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Top Coat from Boots for £5.99, an absolute bargain!
Have any of you tried this? Do you love it as much as I do? Let me know in the comments below and thank you for reading!

  1. Things like this confuse me (I'm not a big nail painter, just can't be bothered with it all really), do you still have to wait for each coat of your polish to dry before adding the next one and then just use it as a top coat? Sorry for being a dunce about it but that doesn't seem like it actually saves that much time? Please correct me if I'm wrong! xx
