I hope you're all well and had a good day at work/college/school etc today :)
I thought I'd do my first review on the Make Up Forever HD foundation, much loved by many beauty gurus on YouTube! I was lucky enough to find it in a shop in the UK earlier in the year. As it's an expensive foundation (£29.95) it is definitely worth reviewing before investing!
This foundation has light to medium buildable coverage that looks very natural, just like skin! The colour I got was N127, and for reference I'm NC30 in MAC.
It's got an in built pump, which is amazing. I always think it's a bit cheeky when make up companies bring out a foundation and sell the pump seperately! (Eg Nars and MAC).
Here's the foundation swatched on my hand:
If you prefer full coverage, I really wouldn't recommend this!
Personally I prefer medium to full coverage foundation, but as this was quite expensive I don't want it going to waste so I have been mixing it in with my Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation which is full coverage. (1 pump DW 2 pumps MUFE HD). This is a great trick for using up a foundation you have invested in but find it doesn't really work for you! Just mix it in with your favourite one!
Also when using the MUFE HD foundation you really need to use a primer as it doesn't last all day!
Lastly, many bloggers say that a very good dupe for this foundation is the Revlon Photo Ready foundation which you can get at Boots or Superdrug for £11.99, over half the price cheaper! I find the Revlon one gives better coverage and lasts longer too!
This is my much loved bottle of the Revlon Photo Ready that's all used up now. I would happily repurchase the Revlon one, but not the MUFE one!
Here's where you can buy MUFE products in the UK online:
Unless you know your exact foundation shade I woudn't recommend buying MUFE foundations online as they have so many colours and shades it's impossible to tell what shade you are from a website.
If you live in London, or are in London to visit and in the Shepherd's Bush area, do check this shop out. It's for professional make up artists, about a 15 minute walk from Westfield and about a 5 minute walk from Shepherd's Bush Market station and an Aladin's cave for make up! And not everything they sell is really expensive either!
I hope this review has been helpful, if you've got any questions let me know! Please comment below and let me know what you're favourite foundation is as I love trying out new ones that are recommended to me and reading all your lovely comments!
