Vita Coco Coconut Oil Review
Hey Lovelies,
I hope you are all well and having a lovely weekend! I'm off work this weekend so I thought I'd use the opportunity to write up one or 2 blog posts for you. Today's post is going to be about the Vita Coco coconut oil which I recently picked up at my local Boots. I was recommended this product by a friend. I've been meaning to try out coconut oil as a beauty product for a while and I was quite excited to finally get my hands on this!
The Vita Coco Coconut oil is not only 100% raw but also organic. The texture of this product is quite hard, but once you rub it in between your hands it quickly turns into an oil. You can use it for cooking, as a shaving balm and even on your face as an oil or eye make up remover. I personally wouldn't use this product as a face oil or on my eyes as I am very happy with my current skincare routine and I'd be worried that it would be too heavy for my skin and cause breakouts. I also prefer using products that have been opthamologist tested around my eye area.
However I have been using the Vita Coco coconut oil as an overnight hair mask and I am loving the results! My hair has been relaxed and I have also had the ends of it bleached, so as you can imagine it is pretty dry. Once a week I scoop about half a tablespoon of this pressed coconut oil out of the jar, warm it up in my hands and smooth it over my hair. In the morning I wash and condition my hair as normal and I have definitely seen an improvement in the condition of my hair since using this product. My hair feels smoother and stronger and I am hoping that it will start growing longer as well! Initially I was a bit worried that using coconut oil on my hair would leave it feeling limp and greasy, but luckily that hasn't been the case at all!
I bought the Vita Coca coconut oil from Boots. 500ml of this product retail for £9.99 which is amazing value considering the multiple uses it has! I am pretty sure this huge jar will last me at least a year. I would definitely recommend picking up this bargain product, unless you don't like the smell of coconut in which case I would say definitely give it a miss haha!
Have you tried using coconut oil as a beauty product? What are your thoughts on it?

Pandora Charm Bracelet
Hey Lovelies,
So on Friday it was finally payday, and I did what everyone else who has been eagerly awaiting this day since Christmas did: I went shopping! I actually had a bit of a splurge at Pandora, and I thought it would be nice to share with you the pieces I picked up.
Pandora Paw Charm
I love Pandora jewellery and I've finally filled up my Pandora charm bracelet. It's taken me arond 2 years to do this, but I got there in the end haha! The final charm I got for my bracelet was this super cute paw print charm. Everyone who knows me knows how much I love pets. I fell in love with this charm last year, and as I didn't end up getting it for Christmas I decided to treat myself to it instead. The sales associate at Pandora actually asked me if I was buying the charm for my pet. Erm no, it's not for my pet, it's for me! I don't know what use a Pandora charm would be for my cat, other than to play with it for 2 minutes and then either get bored of it or lose it haha!
Pandora Rings
I also bought 2 rings from Pandora. I've always wanted a Pandora ring but I never treated myself to one until the other day and I'm so glad I did. I chose the star ring to wear on my index finger and the heart ring to wear as a thumb ring. I know it's not everybody's cup of tea, but I am a big fan of the lots of rings, lots of bracelets and a black manicure look. I loved that look when I was a teen 20 years later I still haven't grown out of it haha!
Pandora Openwork Floral Charm
When I was in the Pandora shop I was debating whether or not to buy a leather bracelet, but I was already purchasing 3 items I decided to leave it. However I met up with 2 of my friends later that day, and they bought me this lovely floral openwork charm as a belated birthday present. Well my Pandora bracelet is now full, so now I will have to go back to my local Pandora shop and buy the leather bracelet I had my eye on so I can put my latest charm on it. It's almost like fate that I'm supposed to have this bracelet haha!
I hope you have enjoyed this haul lovelies. What do you love from Pandora? Let me know in the comments below!
As always, thank you for reading and until next time,

Yet another little haul...

Hey Lovelies,
I hope you are all well and having a great week! I know I am posting yet another little haul on here, but not only do hauls seem to be very popular on my blog, but I've also got a whole stash of products that I haven't even opened yet, so I thought why not write up a haul post for you all to enjoy.
This is a collection of random products I've bought over the last few months so let's have a look at what I got!
Jo Malone Sweet Almond and Macaroon Scented Candle
Jo Malone Sweet Almond and Macaroon Candle
My favourite candles are from Jo Malone! You can buy Jo Malone candles in so many unique and stunning scents. Their Sweet Almond and Macaroon Candle is one of my favourites. I must admit that I am pretty rubbish as describing scents. However I can say that this candle smells absolutely gorgeous and even after you blow it out the scent lingers in the room for a while. It smells sweet without being sickly or overpowering which is pretty much exactly what I want from a candle. I love the Sweet Almomd and Macaroon candle so much I that I bought 2 of it. You can never have enough back ups of your favourite products, right?!
Estee Lauder Brow Now Volumizing Brow Tint in Dark Brunette
Estee Lauder Brow NowVolumising Brow Tint
I've finally found a brow gel that's dark enough for my eyebrows! This makes me very happy! I use this brow tint when I can't be bothered to do my brows properly and also on the days when I fill in my brows with pencil, gel or powder to set them in place. Brow Now adds colour and volume to my eyebrows without leaving them feeling crunchy like some other brow gels I've tried can do.
Bath and Body Works Anti-Bacterial Hand Gels in Japanese Cherry Blossom, Caribbean Escape and Sweet Pea
Bath and Body Works Anti-Bacterial Hand Gels in Japanese Cherry Blossom, Caribbean Escape and Sweet Pea
I really wish Bath and Body Works was available in the UK! My mum lives in Dubai where they are lucky enough to have BABW stores, and every time she visits I ask her to bring me back a few bits. Half the fun of these products is that you can't really get them over here haha! I got given these hand sanitisers by my mum at Christmas. They just look so cute and I always carry one around with me in my handbag. I can't wait to visit the BABW shop myself when I go to Dubai in April!
Muji Thin Cotton Buds
Muji Thin Cotton Buds
I know that cotton buds are a pretty random item to include in a beauty haul, but these thin cotton buds from Muji have become part of my beauty essentials. If I ever have a make up mishap I use them to tidy it up. They are great for perfecting your brows, winged liner, a cut crease or any other make up look that requires sharp lines. Regular cotton buds are too thick and just don't do the job the way these cotton buds from Muji do. If there's a part of my make up I need to correct or want to perfect, I dip one of these in some Micellar water and then use the tip of cotton but rub out any cosmetic mistakes I may have made!
Well that's all from me today. I hope you've enjoyed this post! What have you been buying recently? Let me know in the comments below and until next time,

Collective Haul

Collective Haul MAC, Charlotte Tilbury, Estee Lauder
Hey Lovelies,
I hope you are all having a great weekend! I'm off work until Thursday with no real plans as I am pretty skint this month after booking a flight to see my mum in Dubai in April for her 60th birthday. (First world problems and all that...) As I only have a few pennies to my name at the moment and time on my hands, I thought I'd use this opportunity to write up a couple more blog posts. As you can see from the title, today's post is going to be a collective haul. These are just some of the make up items I purchased over the last couple of weeks. Enjoy!
MAC Bare Study Paint Pot
This is a  repurchase. I've owned Bare Study before but used it all up. It's a lovely champagne colour that I like wearing during the spring and summer, and with those months finally around the corner now I thought it's time to reinvest in this product. Sometimes I wear Bare Study on it's own, other times I use it as a base when creating a neutral smokey eye. It's one of my favourite MAC Paint Pots so I am glad to have it back in my life.
Charlotte Tilbury Bitch Perfect K.I.S.S.I.N.G Lipstick
Charlotte Tilbury Bitch Perfect Lipstick, RRP £23.00
Have you ever bought a lipstick just because you like the name of it? I did haha. I certainly do not need another nude lipstick in my life, but I really liked the sound of Bitch Perfect. I thought it would go nicely with my RBF (Resting Bitch Face), which is why I bought it haha! I would describe this lipstick as a warm nude coral shade. Somehow I was expecting a lipstick with a name like Bitch Perfect to be more of a fierce dark shade. Evidently not though, which is just as well because I am a sucker for nude lipsticks haha!
Estee Lauder Double Wear Lip Pencils in Nude, Rose and Spice
Estee Lauder Double Wear Lip Pencils in Nude, Rose and Spice RRP £17.50 each
Right I must admit I am pretty late on the lip pencil band wagon. I don't usually line my lips on a daily basis but this changed when I discovered the Estee Lauder's Double Wear Lip Pencils. These pencils are long wearing, really pigmented and make any lipstick I chose to wear stay on longer. They even come with a handy little lip brush. The colours I chose were Nude, Rose and Spice because I only ever tend to wear nude lipsticks and I thought these pencils would go nicely with the lipsticks I already have in my collection.
Well that's all for my little collective haul! I'm afraid there are no swatches today but the fake tan is coming off my arms and I really need to sort this out before I allow a camera anywhere near me haha! Have you tried any of these products? If so let me know what you think of them in the comments below! As always, thank you for reading and until next time,

Rehoming a Dog from Battersea Dogs and Cats Home

Battersea Dogs and Cats Home #WhoNeedsWho
Hey Lovelies,
I hope you are all having a great start to 2016! I know I haven't written any blog posts in a while, but I was working flat out in December and just didn't have the time. Lately I have been thinking about where I want to go with my blog this year and decided to set myself a very simple and achievable blog goal: Blog more in 2016 than you did in 2015! Every month I will see how many posts I had written the previous year and aim to write at least one more post than I did during that month of 2015. Last January I didn't blog at all, so I am starting the year on an increase in posts already haha! I'm also going to be blogging a mix of beauty and lifestyle, rather than just beauty which is what I did when I started this blog.
Today's post is going to be all about my recent visit to Battersea Dogs and Cats Home. Battersea is my local animal shelter and one I have visited plenty of times over the years. I aim to never go empty handed, and I always try to take blankets, towels or pet food with me on each visit. Even if I don't have anything to donate, I always make sure to give them a note when paying my entry fee (which is £2.00 per person) and tell them to keep the change.
Battersea Dogs and Cats Home Admission
This month I went to Battersea because one of my friends is getting a dog from them. Obviously you can't just walk into Battersea (or any other respectable animal rehoming charity) and say you want a dog then walk out with one. There is a registration process which you need to go through which I thought I'd tell you more about today.
When we arrived at Battersea we went to reception where my friend told the receptionist that she was here to register to rehome a dog. She was then given a form to fill in that asks you more information on things like your lifestyle, where you live, your thoughts on things like neutering/spaying , what type of dog you want and how much training you are willing to give the dog.
There are different types of dogs at Battersea, some older, some younger. Around half the animals there are strays, the other half have been given up by their owners because they can no longer care for them. Smaller dog breeds are more easily rehomed than larger ones.
Battersea Dogs And Cats Home Border Collie Rehoming
Batteresa aim to rehome the right dog to the right person which is pretty clear throughout the entire registration process. After my friend had filled out the form we waited for a couple of minutes before she was interviewed by a friendly rehoming lady. In the interview Battersea want to find out things like why you want to rehome a dog from them, how much experience you have with dogs, if you are allowed dogs in the property in which you live and how much time the dog would be spending on his own. Needless to say you won't get a dog from them if you work full time and the poor pooch would be left on his own for hours on end each day. My friend works as a personal trainer and is self employed so her circumstances are pretty perfect for having a dog.
My friend passed the interview stage and Battersea said they would be in touch to arrange a home vist to make sure the flat in which she lives is suitable for a dog. Since we were at Battersea they have contacted her and seen her flat. Where she lives is quite small yet she's looking for an active dog, so Battersea suggested a small breed like a Jack Russell for her.
The next step for my friend now is finding the right dog. As she lives with her brother Battersea make sure that the dog she adopts gets on with her as well as her brother. This means he will have to meet the dog she decides to rehome too. Rehoming a dog from Battersea is all about finding the right dog for the right owner, and this can sometimes take a while. If my friend sees a dog on their website she likes, she can now call them and ask for him (or her) to be reserved for 24 hours so that she can meet him and see if they are a match. Sounds a bit like online dating haha! You can only reserve a dog at Battersea after you have registered and had your home visit.
Battersea Dogs And Cats Home Border Collie Rehoming
After my friend had her interview at Battersea, we had a look around the kennels. Sadly you can't stroke the dogs when they are in kennels because kennel cough can be transmitted this way.
Here is a photo of Dobbie the border collie, who was by far my favourite dog I met that day. He was so alert, clever and playful which is pretty typical of his breed. If I was in a position to get a dog, I would have definitely wanted to rehome Dobbie because he was the best! He loved his rope and when I said to him Dobbie where's your ball, he went and got me his squeeky ball. Words cannot express how lovely he was! Sadly I can't have a dog at the moment because I work full time and unlike my friend, I can't take my dog to work with me. Otherwise I would have loved to adopt Dobbie!
I did however keep my eye on the Battersea website, and I am so happy that Dobbie has been rehomed! As for my friend, she is currently waiting for her brother to come back from his holiday at the end of the month so that they can find the right dog give him his furever home!
I hope you have enjoyed this post lovelies! Do you have a dog? Let me know in the comments below as I love finding out about people's dogs!
Thank you for reading and until next time,
